General Summary
The Publishing Project Manager collaborates with internal stakeholders, department heads, LAIKA marketing team members, publishing partners, and external vendors to manage end-to-end production of LAIKA publishing projects.  

** This is a temporary, 6-month role with the possibility of extending beyond the initial duration. ** 

Job Functions 

  • Act as primary studio liaison with publishing partners and vendors (packaging agencies, editors, artists) on active projects.
  • Partner with LAIKA publishing steering committee and external publishing partner editors to develop content architecture project by project.
  • Build and maintain calendars, milestones, documents, and other relevant materials via project management software (e.g., Airtable).
  • Provide weekly progress reports to senior marketing leadership.
  • Partner with SVP, Head of Business Development to aggregate editorial inputs (e.g., archival materials, photography, art, production notes, etc.).
  • Plan and route communications and approvals with LAIKA stakeholders (department heads, directors, senior leadership, etc.) as well as external talent
  • Ensure accountability for on-time delivery of inputs and approvals from internal and external stakeholders.  
  • Partner with collaborators across the studio and ensure ongoing project management between departments and projects. 

Qualifications 

  • 7+ years project management experience.
  • 5+ years of work in the publishing industry.
  • Experience working in entertainment and creative industry, preferred.
  • Experience working on high end, collectible publishing projects, preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple, complex, concurrent projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task, prioritize, work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills, with the ability to interact with internal departments and external agencies, consistently demonstrating a high degree of professionalism.
  • Ability to work individually and as a team member.

Location 
On-site in Hillsboro, OR, and also eligible for hybrid and/or remote work. 

Salary 
Salary is commensurate with skills and experience.
