Sr. Analyst, Advanced Analytics

Location: Bangalore or Mumbai, India
Function: Marketing & Commercial Analytics
Experience: 5+ years
Employment Type: Full-time

About the Role

Labcorp is hiring a Senior Data Analyst to join the Marketing team and help augment its capability in Market, Product, and Customer Analytics to further the utility of data assets towards business insight. This role will be an integral member of a team that is responsible for data-driven insights to inform marketing strategies, answer business questions, and help Labcorp better serve our customers. This role is designed for the AI-augmented workforce of the future, where human judgment, business context, and decision ownership are amplified by modern analytics and AI tools.

This is not a traditional reporting or MIS role. You will work closely with marketing and commercial leaders to shape decisions related to customer growth, marketing effectiveness, and investment prioritization-using advanced analytics, experimentation, and automation.

The ideal candidate combines strong analytical fundamentals, business acumen, and the ability to leverage AI as a productivity and insight multiplier, while remaining accountable for interpretation, validation, and recommendations. We’re looking for someone who blends strategic thinking, strong data skills, and clear marketing communication—and who can use AI to meaningfully amplify impact.

What You Will Do

Business-Driven Analytics & Decision Support

  • Partner with marketing and commercial stakeholders to translate business questions into structured analytical problems
  • Identify where analytics and AI can meaningfully improve decision-making (not just reporting)

Full program responsibilities: partnering with stakeholders to identify key issues, define the problem, run the required analysis, and translate findings into clear recommendations.

AI-Enabled Analytics Support (Preferred / Nice to Have)

  • Use AI-assisted workflows to speed up data preparation, exploration, and quality checks to support visualization and reporting needs
  • Provide occasional supporting analysis (primarily descriptive/diagnostic; predictive/causal is a plus) to add context to dashboards and stakeholder questions
  • Leverage AI tools responsibly for:
    • Faster data exploration and pattern detection
    • Query/code assistance
    • Drafting chart narratives or dashboard commentary (with human review)
  • Human judgment remains central; you are accountable for accuracy and appropriate interpretation of outputs

Experimentation & Measurement

  • Design and analyze A/B and multivariate experiments to measure marketing effectiveness
  • Apply causal thinking to quantify incremental impact and ROI
  • Help teams understand what is truly driving performance versus correlation or noise

Dashboards, Automation & Insight Products

  • Design decision-oriented dashboards and performance views for business users
  • Automate recurring analyses to reduce manual effort and increase consistency
  • Build reusable analytics assets rather than one-off analyses, where possible

Collaboration & Data Stewardship

  • Work closely with data engineering, platform, and governance teams to ensure data reliability and usability
  • Apply appropriate data privacy, compliance, and quality standards in all analyses
  • Act as a thought partner to stakeholders, not a ticket-taker

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in quantitative field (Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline)
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in analytics supporting business decisions
  • Strong hands-on experience with:
    • SQL and querying large, complex datasets. PySpark experience is preferred.
    • Data analysis and statistical reasoning
    • Business-facing dashboards and visualizations (Power BI, Tableau)
<>o

Core Skills & Capabilities

Analytics & Technical Skills

  • Advanced SQL and experience working with enterprise data warehouses
  • Proficiency in Python or R for analysis and modeling
  • Experience designing and interpreting experiments (A/B testing)
  • Ability to work with imperfect, real-world data and still deliver actionable insights

AI Readiness (Practical, Not Hype-Driven)

  • Hands-on experience using AI tools to augment analytics work (e.g., code acceleration, data exploration, insight summarization)
  • Familiarity with Generative AI workflows (e.g., using LLMs for automated sentiment analysis or data normalization)
  • Strong judgment on when AI outputs can be trusted vs when deeper validation is required
  • Curiosity and continuous-learning mindset toward emerging analytics and AI

(Deep machine learning engineering is not required.)

Business & Communication Skills

  • Ability to translate ambiguous business problems into structured analytics
  • Strong data storytelling skills connecting insights to decisions and actions
  • Confidence working with senior stakeholders in both arriving at an understanding of what problem they are trying to solve, and communicating the answers in the medium that resonates with them
  • Bias toward action and measurable business impact

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in healthcare, life sciences, or other adjacent industries
  • Experience with cloud analytics platforms such as Databricks or Snowflake and tools such as PySpark
  • Familiarity with data privacy and governance concepts (HIPAA, GDPR)
  • Experience building reusable dashboards or analytics products
  • Experience creating compelling storyboards

Why Join Labcorp in this role

  • Work on high-impact commercial and marketing decisions at enterprise scale
  • Be part of an analytics team redefining how AI and human judgment work together
  • Move beyond reporting into true decision intelligence
  • Build skills that remain relevant as analytics and AI continue to evolve
