About the role: As a Software Engineer on the HUB team at Kyriba, you will be part of a team responsible for developing and maintaining Kyriba's connectivity hub, which handles critical financial communications and data transfers between banks, clients, and internal systems. You'll contribute to the development of bank file processing, SWIFT messaging, SFTP transfers, and other connectivity protocols, working closely with senior team members to deliver reliable solutions for Kyriba's global client base.

Essential duties and responsibilities: 

• Implement connectivity solutions for bank communications and file transfers

• Contribute to technical design discussions and solution implementation

• Develop and maintain integrations with banking protocols (SWIFT, EBICS, SFTP)

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code

• Participate in code reviews and implement feedback from senior developers

• Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity issues

• Contribute to system monitoring and performance optimization

• Document technical solutions and maintain existing documentation

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Experience & Technical Skills:

• 3-5 years of enterprise Python & Java development experience

• Strong knowledge of Python and Java internals and performance optimization

• Advanced understanding of Spring Framework and microservices architecture

• Desired but not mandatory, Knowledge of banking connectivity protocols (SWIFT, EBICS, FTP)  and formats message formats (MT/MX series)

• Experience with message queuing systems and distributed architectures

• Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes

• Advanced SQL skills and database optimization techniques

• Production troubleshooting experience and root cause analysis

• Proficiency with system monitoring tools (Splunk, Wavefront)

• Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS) and Kubernetes

• Understanding of  system security

• Experience with code review processes and technical implementations

• Ability to design and implement high-availability solutions

• Knowledge of performance testing and optimization techniques

• Experience with integration patterns and API design

• Proficiency in automated testing and quality assurance

• Understanding of infrastructure as code and DevOps practices

• Ability to handle production incidents at technical level

• Experience with technical documentation and system architecture

• Advanced debugging and problem-solving techniques

• Knowledge of system scalability and reliability patterns

• Experience with technical debt assessment and refactoring
