Responsibilities

• Lead the automation and orchestration efforts as a visionary subject matter expert, guiding the team towards best practices and innovative solutions.
• Champion the enhancement of existing Automation Patterns and provisioning scripts, ensuring scalability, reliability, and efficiency.
• Architect and implement advanced Linux and Windows provisioning scripting strategies to streamline end-to-end provisioning processes.
• Define and execute complex automated workflows, documenting procedures and standards to ensure consistency and reproducibility.
• Drive the translation of new requirements and functionality into robust solutions within vRealize Orchestrator (vRO), leveraging your expertise to provide strategic guidance to stakeholders.
• Represent the team in client meetings, gathering requirements, understanding business needs, and delivering solutions within defined timelines.

Skills Required

• Minimum of 10+ years of experience in the IT industry, with a proven track record of leadership and technical expertise.
• Extensive experience in Automated provisioning using vRealize Automation (vRA) and vRealize Orchestrator (vRO), with a focus on architecting and supporting complex automation workflows.
• Mastery of VMware vRealize Automation and VMware vRealize Orchestration (vRA/vRO) support, operations management, and strategic planning.
• In-depth proficiency in building intricate automation solutions using VRA 8.x (Aria Automation Suite), demonstrating a strong command of vRO workflows and scripting languages.
• Advanced scripting skills, including expertise in JavaScript, PowerShell, shell scripting, Python, and other automation frameworks.
• Thorough understanding and hands-on experience with infrastructure components such as VMware vSphere, RedHat Linux, and Windows Server.
• Demonstrated expertise in designing XAAS blueprints, Resource Actions, Cloud Templates, and Infrastructure Administration in vRealize Automation (ARIA), leveraging Design Canvas, Event Broker, and XaaS capabilities.
• Strong knowledge of DevOps tools and methodologies, including Chef, Ansible, Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms like AWS and Azure.
• Familiarity with VMware, storage, and database technologies, along with experience in ITIL-based support frameworks and client SLA management.
• Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor team members, collaborate with stakeholders, and drive strategic initiatives to fruition.

Good to have skills

• Expertise in Chef, Ansible, Terraform, and other DevOps tools to automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure, along with knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency in VMware, storage, and database technologies, with a keen understanding of infrastructure management for Windows and Linux (RHEL) operating systems.
