The Role

As a Technical Cloud Project Manager at Kyndryl, you’ll be responsible for managing all tracks for the buildout of a new private cloud project. The Project Manager will have extensive experience in managing container related projects, complex cloud-based projects, and possess a deep understanding of cloud technologies and infrastructure; as well as managing multiple projects at once. You will be responsible for providing leadership and direction in On Prem Private Cloud, Automation – (Terraform, Ansible), Containers and Kubernetes. The Project Manager will analyze and mitigate risks, manage finances/budgets, make sure the team has the right skills, then plan and delegate activity to hit deadlines, deliver on SLAs, and provide status updates to our stakeholders. Of course, plans often evolve as a project unfolds, so you’ll need to practice continuous structural thinking and take ownership for value delivery, not just task scheduling.

  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones are met and that deliverables meet Government requirements. 
  • Works with the technical team to implement Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery and Continuous Deployment tools, automation- Terraform, Ansible, cloud, microservices, and container-based environments.
  • Experience managing design activities including design sessions and defining future state processes.
  • Experience managing vendors and service providers.
  • Experience working with and managing onsite and remote teams.
  • Experience with industry-standard System Development Life Cycle methodologies.
  • Prior experience with SCRUM/Agile methodologies with enterprise-level application development projects
  • Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Engagement with and management of business and technical stakeholder groups at all levels of leadership.
  • Development and ongoing management of project governance functions.
  • Ensure the development and coordination of stakeholders across functions.
  • Develop scope statements and manage scope to align work efforts to organizational goals and objectives.
  • Develop product transition and rollout schedules and manage work activities to ensure conformity to the schedule.
  • Develop performance and quality measures for product management activities and provide tracking and periodic reporting on these measures.
  • Lead teams of technical resources in the delivery of high-quality Cloud solutions that meet business needs.

Who You Are

  • At least six (6) years of experience in Cloud program or project management
  • At least six (6) years of experience in supervision or oversight of Cloud and Automation projects
  • A proven track record of successfully implementing projects using Agile methodologies including at least five (5) years of experience as a project manager managing major Cloud and Automation projects in a high-technology development environment with cross-functional teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
  • SCRUM or Project Management skills
  • Organization and planning skills
  • Teamwork with “one team” philosophy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • MS Project or other Project Management software
  • Ability to interact confidently with stakeholders of all levels

The compensation range for the position in the U.S. is $93,360 to $177,360 based on a full-time schedule. Your actual compensation may vary depending on your geography, job-related skills and experience. For part time roles, the compensation will be adjusted appropriately. The pay or salary range will not be below any applicable state, city or local minimum wage requirement. There is a different applicable compensation range for the following work locations:

California:$102,720 to $213,000

Colorado: $93,360 to $177,360

New York City: $112,080 to $213,000

Washington: $102,720 to $195,120

This position will be eligible for Kyndryl’s discretionary annual bonus program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Kyndryl’s applicable plans. You may also receive a comprehensive benefits package which includes medical and dental coverage, disability, retirement benefits, paid leave, and paid time off.  Note: If this is a sales commission eligible role, you will be eligible to participate in a sales commission plan in lieu of the annual discretionary bonus program.
