The Role

As a Client Solutions Engineer, you will apply your knowledge of systems engineering and cloud native technologies, to design and deliver innovative, market leading cloud managed services for public, hybrid and private cloud landscapes of customers across the globe.   

Primary Responsibilities include:

• Design and engineer processes, applications and microservices, delivering enterprise level services for the management of private, hybrid and public clouds, as well as for applications hosted on those platforms.
• Advanced engineering of APIs, business rules, UI Policies, Client Scripts, ACLs, Workflow Activities, etc.
• Work with functional teams to deliver automated workflow solutions with commercial, open source and cloud native tools.
• Lead teams on design, engineering and overall best practices.
• Manage individual priorities, objectives and deliverables.
• Translate architecture/system design details into consumable actions for engineers to further break down and build.

Your X-factor:

• Working with a variety of stakeholders to discuss engineering efforts, prioritize work, identify and resolve dependencies, and maintain focus on iterative delivery and quality. You will provide leadership and expertise in the engineering of new services and processes, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology.
• Embracing an agile framework is key. Effectively contribute to Agile workflows – Feature/Epic definition, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, scrums and retrospectives. Work within a global workforce across multiple time zones. Empowered to collaborate and make decisions together in a team with speed and efficiency.
• You will mentor and coach engineers, in support of the growth of our team and delivering Cloud services.

Required Skills and Experience

• 10+ years of software engineering and/or application hosting infrastructure design experience.
• 8+ years of experience as an engineer or architect working in large-scale, Enterprise-grade, application hosting environments.
• 6+ years of cloud experience using native services in AWS, Azure and/or GCP
• Expertise in Go and Python programming languages.
• Experience in analyzing “Well Architected Framework” and solving for outliers and modernization opportunities.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code - Terraform, Biceps, etc.
• Experience with one of the confirm management tools like Ansible, Chef, etc.
• Experience with microservices, containers and Kubernetes.
• Ability and desire to mentor Junior Engineers.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• DevSecOps experience to help establish "best practices" for applying security, operational tools and processes, and perfecting the team's CI/CD pipeline.
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-code concepts and implementation, and configuration management systems.
• Experience in low level design, story grooming, story point estimation, peer review of code.
• Experience in leading project with tight timelines in agile ways.
• Proven history of analyzing business situations and working within a group environment to provide efficient and effective solutions.
• Must be adaptable to work in a varied, fast paced exciting, ever-changing environment.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Self-starter with desire to understand work and project objectives.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, written, and oral communications skills.

The compensation range for the position in the U.S. is $134,160 to $254,880   based on a full-time schedule. Your actual compensation may vary depending on your geography, job-related skills and experience. For part time roles, the compensation will be adjusted appropriately. The pay or salary range will not be below any applicable state, city or local minimum wage requirement.                                
                                
There is a different applicable compensation range for the following work locations:                                
California: $147,600 to $305,880                    
Colorado: $134,160 to $254,880                    
New York City: $161,040 to $305,880                    
Washington: $147,600 to $280,320                    
                                
This position will be eligible for Kyndryl’s discretionary annual bonus program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Kyndryl’s applicable plans. You may also receive a comprehensive benefits package which includes medical and dental coverage, disability, retirement benefits, paid leave, and paid time off.  Note: If this is a sales commission eligible role, you will be eligible to participate in a sales commission plan in lieu of the annual discretionary bonus program.
