The Role

As a Software Engineering Architect at Kyndryl, you will be responsible for leading the charge in creating technical blueprints, defining product/solution architecture, and developing the technical specifications for our projects. You'll be a key player in integrating the features of our software applications into a cohesive and functioning system.

Responsibilities

• Define target architecture and product design for core banking and related platforms

• Align product architecture with enterprise architecture, business strategy, and regulatory requirements

• Establish architecture principles, standards, and design patterns

• Own architecture across Temenos T24 ecosystem:  Core banking (Accounts, Lending, Payments) | Product configuration and lifecycle

• Multi-entity and multi-currency setup | Ensure optimal use of Temenos capabilities with minimal customization

• Design solutions spanning:  Core banking (Temenos) | Payments (SEPA, SWIFT, Instant Payments) | Digital channels (web/mobile banking)

• Financial crime (AML/KYC systems) | Data platforms and regulatory reporting | Ensure consistency across systems and data flows

• Define integration patterns and architecture:  API-first design (REST/SOAP) | Event-driven architecture | Middleware integration (ESB, microservices)

• Govern integration between Temenos & other systems

• Provide technical leadership to:   Product Owners | Functional Analysts | Engineering teams

• Review and approve solution designs and technical deliverables

• Ensure adherence to architecture governance and standards

• Drive modernization initiatives:   Cloud adoption (Azure/AWS) | Microservices transformation | API enablement | 

• Introduce emerging capabilities:   AI-driven insights | Real-time processing

Your analytical and creative mindset will be put to the test as you anticipate trends, stay up-to-date on leading technology, and participate in Kyndryl's architectural boards. Your expertise will guide functional objectives and technologies, and you'll be a driving force in evaluating, identifying, and developing software solutions.

In addition to your technical prowess, you'll also be a strong leader and communicator, able to train and oversee the activities of our development team. You'll foster a collaborative environment and work closely with Marketing Managers, Product Managers, Programmers, and Engineers to ensure our software solutions are meeting the needs of our business and our customers.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Deep expertise in Temenos T24 (Transact & ecosystem)

• Deposits / AccountsFT (Funds Transfer),LD (Lending),AA (Arrangement Architecture),Strong understanding of modules:

• 5 - 7 Years in Banking IT / Product Architecture roles

• Knowledge of Temenos architecture:   TAFJ / TAFC | Integration frameworks (OFS, APIs)

• Experience in:  Enterprise architecture frameworks (TOGAF preferred) | Solution design and architecture governance

• Ability to design:  Scalable, resilient, and secure systems

• Strong expertise in:  REST / SOAP APIs | Microservices architecture | Event-driven architecture | Middleware platforms (ESB, API gateways)

• Experience with:  Cloud platforms (Azure) | Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes – plus) | DevOps and CI/CD pipelines

• Retail, Corporate, Private Banking | Payments (SEPA, SWIFT, Instant Payments) | Lending, Deposits, Wealth Mgmt | AML/KYC and regulatory processes

• JIRA / Confluence | Architecture modeling tools (Sparx, ArchiMate) | API management tools | Cloud & DevOps toolchains

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

• Banking / BFSi preferred

• TOGAF / Architecture certifications – preferred

• Temenos certifications

• Cloud certifications (Azure/AWS)
