Distinguished Engineer - Enterprise Data

We are hiring a Distinguished Engineer passionate about marrying data with emerging technologies. You’ll have the opportunity to be at the forefront of building a modern enterprise data platform that powers over $60 billion in annual transaction volume for over 100 million active payment cards for one of the largest credit card issuers in the world. 

As a Distinguished Engineer, you will establish yourself as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor for data technologies and platforms. You will lead the architecture and development of highly scalable data platforms with thousands of daily users. You will also manage key stakeholder and partner relationships, leveraging expertise to influence technical decisions.

Required Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science,  or related field. Master’s Degree preferred.
• At least 10 years experience in software engineering.
• At least 7 years of experience designing and building highly scalable data platforms and solutions.
• At Least 7 years of experience with Databricks (administration and platform engineering)
• At Least 10 years of cloud platform experience - AWS preferred
• At Least 7 years of experience working with Big Data, Enterprise Data
• Knowledge and experience in modern data platform strategies (Data Mesh, Data Fabric.)
• Expert knowledge and experience in distributed data/computing tools such as EMR, Kafka, Spark.
• Experience with metadata management solutions.
• Experience with implementing and managing data access controls.
• DevOps experience using AWS, Python, Terraform, Jenkins,  GitHub and Artifactory
