Security Engineer, Senior Associate

We are looking for an enthusiastic cyber security engineer that wishes to make the move into security platform operations for a large MSSP.

The applicant should be highly proficient with virtual & physical infrastructure operations, have a good understating of networks as well as experience working on service desks in a customer facing role, part of a fast-paced environment.

The applicant should have a diverse background in the management & configuration of various types of software & cloud platforms and is a quick learner when it comes to exposure to new systems and working methodologies.

Strong English written and verbal communication skills, intermediate Linux skills & solid proficiency in Microsoft`s common stack of software is a requirement.

Must have:

·       Strong systems configuration & administration background with various business specific applications

·       Intermediate Linux skills

·       Strong Windows and VMWare skills

·       Solid understanding of networking and utilising this knowledge in troubleshooting

·       Solid understanding of Azure, AWS & cloud configurations

·       ITIL service operation experience

·       Strong, methodical troubleshooting skills when working with unfamiliar environments and platforms

·       Strong written and verbal communication skills

·       Strong knowledge of at least one SIEM and EDR platform

Nice to have:

·       Azure Sentinel experience

·       LogRhythm experience

·       SentinelOne, Crowdstrike & DFE experience

·       Cloud to Cloud integration experience

·       Intermediate Python & other scripting development skills

·       Network+, Security+ & CySA
