Software Architecture, Escalator Control System

Job Description

Responsibilities and key activities:

• Own and evolve the software architecture for next-generation escalator control systems, covering embedded real-time control, functional safety, and IoT connectivity
• Lead architectural decisions across multiple MCU and Linux-based boards, defining system interfaces and communication protocols
• Drive cybersecurity and functional safety architecture aligned with IEC 62443 and IEC 61508
• Establish architectural standards, coding guidelines, and design patterns for the embedded SW team
• Collaborate with global architecture community to align local design with company-wide platform direction
• Mentor team members on architectural principles and conduct design reviews

We expect you to have:

• Master's degree or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, or related field
• Minimum 10 years in embedded software development, with at least 5 years in a software architect or senior technical leadership role
• Deep expertise in embedded real-time systems: RTOS, bare-metal firmware, and Linux-based platforms (Yocto/Buildroot)
• Proven experience with safety-critical systems (IEC 61508, ISO 26262, or equivalent) and cybersecurity standards (IEC 62443)
• Expert knowledge of communication protocols: CAN, RS485, Modbus, MQTT, TLS
• Excellent English communication skills. Chinese native speaker preferred. Experience in elevator, railway, automotive, or similar industries is a strong plus..
