Join Our Team as a Senior Engineer, Layout! 

Are you passionate about precision and safety in engineering? We are looking for a talented Senior Layout Engineer to join our dynamic team at KONE Europe Supply Chain. In this role, you will be at the forefront of designing and ensuring the safety and functionality of our elevator systems. 

In this role you’ll have an opportunity to collaborate closely with our engineering teams, KONE R&D, tendering and supply management, production and KONE Front Lines. We expect you to work with the stakeholders and be able to ensure reliable and cost-competitive solutions for our customers.  

Key Responsibilities: 

• Understanding the customer needs and translating them into solutions  

• Creating detailed elevator layout drawings and performing technical calculations. 

• Working as part of cross-functional customer project teams, and supporting stakeholders throughout the tendering and delivery phase 

• Leading development projects in Europe layout engineering 

• Training and supporting other engineers as well as stakeholders with your deep technical expertise 

Required skills and experience 

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Engineering or equivalent area 

• 3+ years of technical background in Supply Chain layout engineering 

• Understanding of elevator systems and sub-systems 

• Excellent 2D AutoCAD and other KONE layout tools skills 

• Experience in Solution engineering team daily operations, tools and processes 

• Self-driven team player with good collaboration, networking and influencing skills 

• Problem solving skills and ability to make informed decisions 

• Customer orientation and innovation skills 

• Good skills in English  

• Ability to work under pressure 

Following skills are an asset 

• Experience of Lean, Six sigma and Agile practices and ways of working
