R&D unit in KTI is responsible for developing digital services at KONE. It’s the development engine for our Digital Services such as KONE 24/7 Connected Services, Office Flow and Partnership Ecosystem.
KONE is developing novel, automation systems, devices and methods to increase productivity and quality of elevator installations. These systems apply automation and robotics technologies and include tailor made mechanics, controls systems and metrology applications.
We are now looking for several new team members to join our automation device development team in Hyvinkää, Finland. There’s possibility to work remotely couple of days a week.
Your main responsibility will be participating in the development and prototyping of autonomous, human in loop or operator assisted robotic and automatic solutions for elevator installation process. This work will include control system development, mechatronics development, building and testing of prototypes, and finally, the industrialization of novel installation automation solutions.
The actual role will be tailored based on the applicant’s profile to be either more focused on mechatronics or the programming side of development.

-Knowledge of connectivity, IOT and cybersecurity and electrical engineering
-Capability to design, build and operate prototypes
We expect you to have
-MSc or BSc degree in Robotics, automation or in relevant field
-Minimum of 3 years of relevant working experience in Robotics, automation or similar field
-Independent and flexible, with can-do attitude and open mindset
-Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
-Readiness to run tests in lab and site conditions
-Interest to stay on top of general development in your field of expertise
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
