As Junior Site Reliability Engineer you will be part of Platform Operations Global Team responsible for managing infrastructure and services for custom Java-based and 3rd Party applications stack in KION Group IT. You will take responsibility to develop, operate and improve our infrastructure and services.

Tasks and Qualifications:

• Design and develop cloud-based infrastructure

• Act as a facilitator between our stakeholders and development teams

• Being SME and Automatize key components, application deployments, and repeating jobs

• Ensure the platform availability, stability, and compliance with KION quality standards

• Monitor and operate 3rd Party and custom Java application stack

• Improve KION IT Services reliability

  • Facilitate blameless postmortems  

  • Derive measures 

  • Maintain and work on the issues backlog

• Evolve Monitoring dashboards and alerts. Measure reliability based on SLOs

• Manage the onboarding of new 3rd party / SaaS solutions to the Team

• Take over custom-built applications from Projects to the Team

Your Skills and Expertise:

• approx. 1-2 years of working experience in a similar position (SRE/DevOps or related)

• Ability to debug, optimize, and automate routine tasks and deployments

• Familiarity with setting up and enhancing product monitoring

• Systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with effective communication skills

• Ability to work independently and make decisions on your own

• Demonstrable Agile mindset and willingness to learn and develop

• Fluent English, written and spoken (German is a plus)
