Field Service Engineer

Job Description
This field service engineer role will include, repairs, service and maintenance to a range of forklift trucks and material handling equipment.The role is based in the Norfolk/ Suffolk region, covering the NR & IP postcodes. Ideally this role will be based in the centre of the patch around Norwich. This is an Up-skiller position
We offer:
To find, diagnose and rectify faults on customer FLT’s as deemed necessary, with all that this entails, and order the necessary spare parts as efficiently as possible
To adhere to all company H&S and Environmental and site policies, procedures and practices and ensure we operate in an environmentally safe work place.
Ensure K1SS and all paperwork/It systems are completed accurately and within the stipulated time period and with the relevant order numbers
Liaise with the first line of management for authorisation of parts and process order numbers accordingly
Work under own initiative without constant supervision
To ensure all allocated work is adhered to and to notify Manager or Controller if in arrears
Ensure that the specified Engineering Standards and Safe Working Practices and all Company Policies and Procedures are followed at all times.
To ensure that all stock levels/movement records are accurate and correct
To obtain hour meter readings /site information as requested by Controllers
Ensure all company issued equipment is kept in a satisfactory condition and report any failures
To take on any reasonable additional duties as required by the Manager to ensure the smooth running of the department
Any other duties which arise as a result of duties as above

Tasks and Qualifications:
NVQ Level 3 or equivalent associated occupation - to be up-skilled to match
Electrical hydraulic and/or mechanical competencies
Hold a full and valid driving licence
