Overview
Kimley-Horn is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with 4+ years of experience to join the St. Pete, Florida (FL) office! This is not a remote position.
Responsibilities
- Ability to oversee the HVAC design of projects from concept to completion, including continuous interface with the design team and clients.
- Mentor and coordinate the work of designers and other technical staff on various mechanical or multi-discipline projects
- Manage and deliver tasks under minimal supervision and guidance
- This is an exciting opportunity to work with a team of engineers and designers on a variety of projects
- You will flourish on both building meaningful internal and external professional relationships
- You will work closely and collaboratively with other industry leading professionals, various jurisdictions, and contractors
- Ability to lead production in Revit
Qualifications
- 4+ years of related experience
- Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) license (or ability to obtain within 12 months)
- Proven design experience with comfort and HVAC systems and related controls
- Proven design experience with plumbing systems including water, sewer, and gas
- Experience producing engineering and energy studies including comcheck, Title 24
- Experience mentoring and coordinating the work of EITs, designers, and other technical staff on various mechanical or multi-discipline projects
- Able to manage and deliver tasks under minimal supervision and guidance
- Experience in AutoCAD and Revit is required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and critical thinking ability
- Ability to work individually or in a multi-discipline team
