Risk Data Analyst (6 month contract with benefits)

The Role:

The Risk Data Analyst tackles challenging business problems, including credit policy development and process optimization.  This role works cross-functionally with Capital Markets, Operations, Sales, Product, and many other teams to advance various business initiatives that align with department and corporate goals. This role reports to the Director of Portfolio Risk.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct in depth analysis on portfolio characteristics and performance trends, identify root causes of problem-areas, and create actionable recommendations.
• Develop credit strategies that will accelerate lending growth or lead to effective loss mitigation actions.
• Define, create, and improve metrics and dashboards that accurately measure the health of the business.
• Build tools to automate and/or simplify analytics, reporting, and operational procedures.
• Analyze policy exceptions and corresponding performance data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for automation and scaling of best practices and decisions.
• Assist in the research, development, implementation, and execution of credit policies and procedures to support loan production.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business or a related quantitative discipline (Math, Statistics, Economics, Finance, Physics, Computer Science).
• 2+ years’ experience in an analytics role preferably at a commercial bank, investment bank, consulting firm, technology company, or other lending institution.
• Strong skills in programming languages and coding. Ability to manipulate, validate, and analyze large datasets using SQL, R, or Python.
• Experience with Tableau, or other visualization tools.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to partner, collaborate, and communicate well with a diverse set of colleagues, both technical and non-technical, at all levels of the organization.
• An analytical mindset to think critically, problem solve, and improve upon the status quo.

Kiavi takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. The expected annualized base pay range for this full-time role to be performed remotely is $115K to $155K + benefits. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries. Within the range, the successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. For in-office workers, Kiavi offers employer contributions to commuter benefits account, either for parking or public transportation.
• Flexible Time Off: Employees are empowered to manage their own time off, with no strict limits, as long as it's approved by their manager.
• Paid Leaves: Up to 8 weeks of paid leave for medical or caregiver purposes, and 12 weeks of paid maternity/paternity leave. Short-term disability leave is also available for birthing mothers.
• 401(k) & Company Match: A 401(k) plan managed by Fidelity, with Kiavi matching 100% of contributions up to 3% of compensation or $6,000 (whichever is less). All employer contributions are immediately vested.
