Product Manager
Location: Kitchener, Ontario, Canada
Department: Product
Who We Are
At KEV, we help school districts eliminate the school finance blind spot. Our platform gives district finance teams real-time visibility and traceability into every dollar collected at the school level; whether it’s cash, check, or digital. From field trips to fundraisers, we help them manage every dollar with confidence. More than 27,000 schools across North America trust KEV to manage over $8 billion annually. By unifying payments, accounting, and reporting, KEV simplifies life for bookkeepers, builds trust with parents, and gives finance leaders the oversight their current systems cannot. It’s how we help schools stay compliant, reduce risk, and focus on what matters most, student success.
Backed by Five Arrows, the PE arm of Rothschild & Co., KEV is investing more than ever to support K–12 in a world of tighter budgets, rising scrutiny, and fast-changing tech. We’re headquartered in Toronto, with offices across North America.
If you’re excited by the idea of building tech that protects schools, empowers finance teams, and improves education through better systems, KEV is the place for you.
About the Role
The Senior Product Manager is a strategic leader who owns the full product lifecycle - from concept validation through post-launch optimization - across KEV's core platform domains. You will define product vision and roadmap, drive cross-functional execution, and own measurable customer outcomes and business impact. This role partners directly with engineering, design, sales, customer success, and executive leadership to deliver scalable, high-impact SaaS solutions that drive sustainable growth.
As a Senior PM, you are the voice of the product to leadership, customers, and the organization. You set direction, articulate the "why" behind strategic choices, and hold teams accountable to ambitious outcomes. You think in terms of product cycles, not sprints - balancing near-term execution with multi-quarter strategic positioning.
How You'll Contribute
- Own the product roadmap — defining quarterly and annual strategy, prioritizing bets based on customer impact and business value, communicating vision clearly to executives, customers, and cross-functional teams
- Drive concept-to-launch ownership — owning discovery, validation, specification, execution alignment, launch strategy, and post-launch optimization across your product area
- Lead executive communication and stakeholder alignment — presenting quarterly progress, product strategy, and business impact to leadership; influencing roadmap decisions and resource allocation through clear, data-driven narratives
- Establish product-market fit and scalability — defining success metrics, monitoring leading/lagging indicators, and iterating strategy based on customer feedback and competitive dynamics
- Own customer outcomes and adoption — partnering closely with sales, customer success, and support to understand adoption barriers, ensure smooth launches, and drive measurable customer satisfaction and ROI
- Build scalable product operations frameworks — designing repeatable processes for discovery, planning, execution, and feedback loops that enable teams to move quickly and deliver predictably
- Partner strategically with distributed engineering teams — working effectively across time zones and global contexts to drive execution, maintain quality standards, and build strong team partnerships
- Optimize product and technical architecture decisions — collaborating with engineering leadership on scalability, technical debt, and long-term platform positioning
- Drive competitive positioning and go-to-market strategy — understanding the competitive landscape, identifying differentiation opportunities, and partnering with go-to-market teams on launch strategy and messaging
- Mentor and develop the product team — elevating product thinking across the organization and contributing to a culture of execution excellence and continuous improvement
Who You Are
- 7+ years of product management experience in B2B SaaS, with 3+ years in a senior capacity (FinTech, EdTech, or high-growth SaaS preferred)
- Proven track record of owning products from concept through post-launch — with examples of products you've taken from discovery through successful launch and scaled adoption
- Strategic executive communicator — comfortable presenting to C-suite and key stakeholders; able to translate strategy into compelling narratives and influence resource decisions
- Experienced in product-led roadmap ownership — defining strategy independently, making prioritization tradeoffs, and articulating the "why" behind key decisions
- Strong understanding of customer impact and business metrics — able to define success holistically (adoption, revenue, satisfaction, competitive position) and measure progress against key indicators
- Systems thinker — able to balance strategic vision with operational excellence, design scalable processes, and eliminate inefficiencies
- Collaborative but decisive — skilled at building alignment across functions while owning final decisions and accountability for outcomes
- Customer obsessed — deep empathy for user problems, strong listening skills, and a track record of translating customer feedback into product direction
- Passion for AI-driven product innovation — familiarity with how AI/ML capabilities can be embedded in product strategy or strong desire to lead this exploration
