Description

The job

The position reports to the VP of Product and is a key part of our Product Team. The ideal candidate must have experience building and deploying software at scale, with a focus on application developer workflows, and a solid understanding of best Product Management practices. A background in industrial automation, IoT platforms, and/or control systems is preferred. Since the main users of the product are data scientists, data engineers, and software developers, the product manager is expected to demo the product, act as an evangelist, and continually improve the user experience.

This is a hands-on position; we value scrappy individuals who are proactive in reaching out to different stakeholders. The candidate should be able to dive into the details of product and technology architecture, write user stories, and interact with customers and market thought leaders to develop a deep understanding of product-market needs.

You will be the right fit if you:

  • Have built and scaled platforms with a focus on enterprise application developer tools
  • Understand needs of application developers, data scientists and data engineers in complex enterprise environments
  • Hands-on experience in launching Analytics / ML / Autonomous control applications.
  • Scrappy and able to drive rapid experimentation with users and Kelvin product/design teams
  • Are deeply collaborative since you will be interacting daily with engineers, designers, customers and SMEs.
  • 4-6 years of experience in product management; experience and examples of leading successful SaaS/PaaS product definitions and releases
  • Experience in agile software lifecycle management in a cloud environment.
  • Strong understanding of the Edge to Cloud software stack, Cloud / Hybrid deployment models, [including, but not limited to aspects of modern technology architecture components like Kubernetes, Docker / Containerized services, etc.].
  • Understand the importance of data and have previous experience building data platforms or SDKs.

Preferred to have:

  • Experience in designing and launching experiments to validate market or product capabilities.
  • Experience in collaborating with design to rapidly iterate on new product capabilities.
  • Worked in an international team.
  • Solid experience using Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence), Aha!, Github to deliver products / services.
  • Advanced degree such as a Master’s in Business Administration, focus on Product Management or relevant subject areas.
  • Product Management Certification.
  • Located in the Houston area, additionally open to CST & PST timezones
