Senior Software Engineer (Backend) JD 
About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our growing engineering team. This person will help build scalable software solutions and contribute to new platform, data, and AI initiatives across the business.
The ideal candidate is a strong engineer who enjoys solving technical problems, working with modern technologies, and collaborating with product, engineering, and business stakeholders. You should be comfortable working across backend systems, APIs, databases, cloud infrastructure, and modern development practices.
This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to work on high-impact products, contribute to technical direction, and grow with a fast-moving engineering organization.
 
Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain scalable software applications.
Build backend services, APIs, and integrations.
Work with microservices, databases, cloud platforms, and distributed systems.
Collaborate with product managers, engineers, architects, QA, DevOps, and other stakeholders.
Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and well-tested code.
Participate in design discussions, sprint planning, code reviews, and technical documentation.
Help improve performance, reliability, scalability, and security of existing systems.
Support cloud deployments, CI/CD pipelines, and containerized applications.
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
Contribute to platform, data, and AI-related projects as needed.
Mentor junior engineers and help improve team engineering practices.

Requirements
6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
Strong experience with one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, Go, JavaScript, TypeScript, or Node.js.
Experience building REST APIs, GraphQL APIs, microservices, or backend applications.
Experience with relational or NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, MongoDB, DynamoDB, Redis, or similar.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and modern deployment practices.
Experience working with distributed systems or event-driven architecture.
Familiarity with messaging technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS, SNS, Pub/Sub, or similar.
Good understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and system scalability.
Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.

Nice to Have
Experience with SaaS products or enterprise software.
Experience with AI, machine learning, LLMs, RAG, automation, or data platforms.
Experience with Terraform, Helm, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or other DevOps tools.
Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Splunk, CloudWatch, or similar.
Experience with security, identity, RBAC, authentication, or authorization.
Experience in fintech, cybersecurity, healthcare, insurance, e-commerce, or enterprise environments.
Experience mentoring engineers or leading technical projects.
Experience with Agile/Scrum development teams.
