QA Automation Engineer

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Design, develop, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable automated test scripts using Python.
• Conduct manual testing efforts to ensure product quality and reliability when necessary.
• Identify, record, and document bugs thoroughly and track them to resolution.
• Collaborate with development teams to improve existing products and test new features.
• Participate in design and specification reviews, ensuring quality considerations are integrated.
• Stay current with the latest testing tools, strategies, and technologies.
• Create tests that comply with company and industry standards.
• Mentor and train junior QA engineers to build a high-performing team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and execute automated test plans and test cases, focusing on quality and efficiency.
• Work closely with the product and development teams to align on testing goals and deliverables.
• Manage bug lifecycles from discovery to resolution, ensuring timely fixes.
• Utilize tools like Postman, Pytest, and Playwright to optimize testing workflows.
• Implement QA best practices and maintain compliance with company standards.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in QA automation.
• Proficiency in Python programming for automated test development.
• Familiarity with AWS cloud infrastructure, REST APIs, and web applications.
• Experience with TCP/IP networking and packet data communication protocols.
• Knowledge of Jira and Zephyr for ticket and test management.
• Strong grasp of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Familiarity with Postman, Pytest, and Playwright frameworks.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with consumer or enterprise networking hardware.
• QA experience with VPN software or similar desktop/mobile applications.
• Hands-on knowledge of network equipment such as switches, routers, or access points.
• A proactive, continuous improvement mindset and problem-solving approach.
