What You’ll Do

• Participate as a quality ambassador, engineer and eyes of the customer as a member of an agile software development team
• Identify creative ways to uncover and report defects as well as validate solutions
• Build detailed test specifications (functional, environments, resources) that transition into test strategies for existing and new features
• Execute detailed test plans
• Assist in reproducing bugs reported outside of QA and triaging them with Product Management
• Increase coverage of automated testing by identifying opportunities to automate existing test plans and creating automated system level test plans
• Participate in release processes for your assigned project
• Maintain open communication with QA, Engineering, Product and Customer Experience teams about issues, risk, product quality and bugs
• Maintain and communicate testing timelines, schedules and status reports to stakeholders
• Maintain a dynamic, complex, and ever-changing test environment

About You

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or Software Engineering; or equivalent work experience
• Hands-on experience in software quality assurance with the ability to read and understand code, and verify acceptance criteria
• Experience working in an agile environment
• Knowledge of testing methodologies and concepts
• Experience with testing APIs and implementing API automated testing
• Excellent troubleshooting, debugging and problem-solving skills
• Experience writing detailed test specifications (functional, environments, resources) that transition into test requirements for existing and new features
• Proficient with Linux and shell scripting
• Familiarity with storage concepts and troubleshooting (e.g., NAS, SAN, NFS, SMB, etc.)
• Familiarity with public or private cloud concepts (e.g., GCP, Azure, AWS, etc.)
• Familiarity with networking concepts and troubleshooting (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN, OSI, etc.)
• Experience setting up, maintaining, troubleshooting, and automation of infrastructure systems (e.g., Microsoft Hyper-V, VMware vSphere, OpenStack)
• Experience with writing robust automated tests in Python with a framework such as Pytest
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Experience with software configuration management and version control (GitLab a plus)

• Experience with Kubernetes and microservice/containerized environments a plus
• Proficient with Windows system administration and powershell scripting    
• Front-end or full-stack experience with selenium, playwright, etc.
