We are looking for a dedicated Software Engineer to join our engineering community. Together you are building, enhancing and supporting the next generation of our platform! Key Responsibilities
To design and build world-class applications and services that meet the needs of our global customer community. Our platform must be stable and resilient, highly secure and yet adaptable to change since we are adding new features and products all the time. You can expect to use cutting-edge approaches to problem-solving, and we want you to keep learning.
As a Software Engineer, you will set a great example with your own code whilst supporting the team and less experienced colleagues. You will work with stakeholders to understand project scope. You’ll be adept at breaking feature requests down into incremental changes that can be estimated and planned effectively. You’ll be part of a team that takes collective responsibility for the quality of its work.
Solve complex problems with clarity and creativity
Work with other engineers and teams who are aligned towards the same goal with many opportunities for cross-team influence, architecture, and collaboration.
Implement the technical direction and enhancements for microservices written in .net that the team manages
Design and build new microservices and help to bring them to production quickly
Be a key participant in following the team’s technical direction and best practices
Be a key contributor in the estimation of technical roadmap for team and services that the team manages
Ensure code quality by writing automated tests
Work closely with Product Owners and other Development teams to define requirements that they can use to implement with best-in-class technology
Capabilities and Experience
2-6 years of hands-on development experience using .NET technologies
Good level in developing and maintain backend applications using Microsoft .Net Core, C# and supporting technologies
Solid front-end development experience using technologies such as Angular, React, TypeScript, Node JS, JavaScript, JQuery, HTML5, CSS 3.0, Materialize and bootstrap frameworks
Some experience in designing and building web applications for the public cloud, especially Microsoft Azure, is a definite plus
Experience working with SQL Databases such as Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL or Postgres in constructing complex queries and stored procedures
Good understanding of Synchronous/Asynchronous communication via Web APIs or Messaging frameworks
Good understanding of cyber security threats and secure coding practices
Strong knowledge of object-oriented software development concepts, SOLID principles and design patterns
Ability to follow technical specifications and production processes
Good understanding of Git or similar Source Control system is a must
Understanding on container-based development such as Docker is a plus
Familiarity with Microservice or similar architecture is a plus
Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills for interacting with team members
Excellent time management and team collaboration skills
