Overview

We, at Kantar, for the Technology project, are looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer to join our growing team in Kantar. As a Senior Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for providing expert mentorship and technical leadership in crafting, putting in practice, and running our cloud infrastructure. You will work closely with our cloud architects, engineers, and partners to ensure the successful deployment and ongoing operation of our cloud-based solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and manage Kantar cloud estate span on Both Azure and AWS.

  • Develop and maintain cloud architecture and design standards, ensuring alignment to the best industry practices and security standards.

  • Design, implement, and run cloud-based infrastructure, including compute, storage, network, and security components.

  • Serve as a technical lead for cloud product offering and projects, providing mentorship to team colleagues and partners.

  • Evaluate new cloud technologies and services, making recommendations for adoption and implementation as appropriate.

  • Resolve sophisticated cloud infrastructure issues, working with other team members and vendors as needed.

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement cloud solutions and to ensure seamless integration of cloud services with other enterprise systems.

  • Generate and update documentation with technical information and training materials cloud infrastructure and services.

  • Developing scripts for deployment, monitoring, reporting, and alerts, ensuring a robust, redundant, scalable infrastructure.

  • Automate infrastructure management using IaC (Terraform, Ansible, or scripting).

  • Support cloud product team on Azure platform with a focus on Azure Well-Architected Framework Pillars: Reliability, Security, Cost Optimization, Operational Excellence, and Performance Efficiency.

Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Proven track record in designing, implementing, and running cloud-based infrastructure in a large-scale enterprise environment.

  • Expertise in cloud computing technologies, such as Amazon Web Services, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.

  • Strong understanding of networking and security concepts, including VPN, firewalls, load balancers, and DNS.

  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Relevant industry certifications, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect, or Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Architect, are a plus.

  • 3+ years of Microsoft Azure/AWS experience involving design, deployment, configuration and optimization of cloud infrastructure and platforms.

  • 3+ years of experience with IaaS and PaaS solutions implementation in any of the public cloud technologies. (preferably Microsoft Azure cloud environment but AWS and Google experience also considered).

  • Experience in understating design and operation of medium to large scale enterprise infrastructure, and distributed application systems.

  • Experience in planning and migrating workloads to cloud.

  • Experience working within an Agile framework.

  • Experience in IaC development with Terraform, Azure CLI, Puppet, and Ansible (preferably with Terraform Cloud and Azure DevOps)

  • Proficient with GIT to perform platform source code management.

  • Competence in a wide range of IT skills including networking, systems administration, data protection, information security and CI/CD tooling.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Desired but not mandate - scripting with Bash, Python and PowerShell.
