Role Overview 
 

The Worldpanel Regional Product Director provides the link between the markets, regions and global product strategy. This role is critical in helping to drive the new ways of working that are necessary to scale Product and Solutions initiatives globally, which requires an innovative approach for building and delivering Worldpanel products in the local market. 

 

Role Description 

  

The Regional Product Director will work alongside the Global Product team and local leadership team in defining opportunities and business cases, ensuring that product requirements effectively reflect local market needs without compromising global consistency. This individual will own local/regional product portfolio strategy and will ensure consistent standards between global and local product executions. 

In terms of product knowledge, the individual should have a strong grasp of market research/panel data and product principles. The role is responsible for driving product adoption and ensuring the product is competitive in the market providing expert commercial support, ensuring close partnership with teams, so they are fully equipped with the knowledge to promote Worldpanel products. 

 

Role Requirements & Capabilities 

  
Key Responsibilities 

  • Alignment and deployment of the global product strategy in the markets/regions. 

  • Accelerate adoption of newly launched and commercialized products. 

  • Assess the region product portfolio, develop product road maps, outline the market strategy, and lead the product positioning and release throughout the products’ lifecycle. 

  • Understand and be able to clearly communicate regional needs to central product team for prioritization and provides input into global product line planning process. 

  • Collaborate with Operations and Tech to develop market specifications for new product developments including ownership of the market specification, the launch plan and overall portfolio plan including phasing out of legacy platforms. 

  • Works closely with regional partners and leadership to identify needs and to formulate regional product execution. 

  • Helps establish and maintain regional product line priorities based on internal and external needs and expectations. 

  • Propose actionable initiatives associated with OGSPs that will drive the business outcomes for the region. 

  • Own regional Market Analysis: Voice of Customer (VOC) data collection, competitive analysis, industry trends and market sizing. 

  • Help build a product culture at Worldpanel. 

Key Outcomes 

  • Product catalogue for the market/region, which will require an audit of existing solutions and services. 

  • In conjunction with key team members, analyse product performance for the region (revenue, margin, commercial pipeline) against global objectives and work collaboratively with regional leadership to develop and implement ongoing management and action plans. 

  • Perform regional competitive analysis, that provide current state assessment of panels/data offerings and tech platforms. Recommend strategies and tactics to protect market share and/or improve market positioning. 

  • Help complete a gap analysis of MyWorldpanel and existing platforms. Validate that current build requirements will support regional needs. 

Role Requirements and Capabilities 

  • Proven experience of working in a Product Management (or similar) role in a matrixed environment. 

  • Led multiproduct lines. Ability to handle several tasks/assignments simultaneously and maintain flexibility to adapt to changing priorities. 

  • Deep understanding of market trends analysis, product development processes.

  • Strong communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, including presenting to all levels of the organisation. 

  • Strong influencing skills with demonstrated ability to create, inspire, and lead virtual teams that deliver results. 

  • Comfortable interacting with highly technical development team.
