About the Team

As a developer at Actimo, you will be part of the team developing the app that simplifies internal communication and training with an engaging, insightful, and interactive mobile-first employee platform. The work at the company is organized in cross-functional product teams and together with your teammates, your team is responsible for a part of the product/platform. This approach allows us to focus on achieving team autonomy, enabling people to grow, and fostering productivity. On top of that, implementing new features and expanding our products to support new use cases is of great importance to us and our goal is to make the customers happy.

You will work day to day with a development team of 4-5 developers. And you will frequently collaborate and coordinate, with the rest of the squad consisting of 12-18 people.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include implementing visual elements that ensure easy user interactions with the platform. You will bridge the gap between the visual interface and server-side infrastructure, taking an active role on both front and back end sides. This is a challenging position and an amazing opportunity for someone with strong software development skills to shape the future of our platform, as you’ll help define how the application looks and functions. In this role, your responsibilities are:

• Work with the rest of the developers to design, build/evolve, and maintain a robust, secure, and flexible global platform
• Take an active role with the product teams to help deliver new features and innovations
• Work with your development to help define API contracts required for features
• Building reusable and tested code and libraries for future use
• Code reviews for your peers 
• Take care of the development process from idea to production-ready
• Contribute to high performance of code development based on your senior work experience.

• BSc Degree in Computer Science or related technical field.

• 5+ years of experience with front-end development
• Proficiency in JavaScript and some experience with statically typed languages
• Hands-on experience with a modern framework eg. Angular, React, Vue
• Hands-on experience with state libraries eg, Rxjs, Redux etc.
• Hands-on experience with end-to-end testing tools eg. Playwright, Cypress etc.
• Experience working on a web app project with a large JavaScript codebase
• Experience with TypeScript
• Git, Git flow, and code reviews
• A great understanding of DOM, HTML, CSS, accessibility, and cross-browser support, including mobile browsers and PWA.
• A great understanding of performance, analyzing and debugging,

• Backend languages (Node.js, Golang, Ruby, Java)
• Experience with relational databases (eg.MySQL)
• OpenSearch
• Git, Git flow, and code reviews
