About the Role:
We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join a large-scale digital platform initiative focused on building and evolving enterprise-grade planning and collaboration tools. The platform enables users across an organization to plan, visualize, and optimize complex environments and workflows through connected systems, data-driven insights, and modern digital interfaces. This role sits within a cross-functional product and engineering environment where scalability, integration, and clean architecture are key priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop scalable backend services and API-driven solutions

• Build and maintain integrations across multiple internal systems and data sources

• Develop RESTful and GraphQL APIs with clear documentation (OpenAPI/Swagger)

• Contribute to headless CMS-based architectures (e.g., Contentful or similar)

• Ensure secure, reliable, and well-structured data flows between services

• Implement authentication, authorization, and role-based access control (RBAC)

• Support CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation

• Collaborate with frontend, data, and platform teams to deliver end-to-end solutions

• Follow best practices in security, accessibility, and data privacy

Requirements:

• Backend development: Node.js / Java / C#

• API design: REST, GraphQL, OpenAPI (Swagger)

• Database: SQL (PostgreSQL or similar)

• Authentication: JWT, JWKS, SSO, RBAC workflows

• Cloud & infrastructure: Azure (Container Apps, Blob Storage, Managed Identity), Terraform, Bicep

• DevOps: Git, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, container-based deployments

• Headless CMS experience (e.g., Contentful)

• Schema validation (e.g., Zod or similar)

• Strong understanding of secure and scalable backend architecture

• Nice to Have:

  • Python / Flask

  • .NET / C# (integration or backend services)

  • Java Spring Boot

  • Event streaming: Kafka

  • Search technologies: OpenSearch

  • Observability tools: OpenTelemetry, Splunk

  • Multi-cloud experience (AWS, Cloudflare Workers, S3)

  • AI integrations (OpenAI, Anthropic, MCP SDKs)

  • Experience with automation or visualization platforms
