Software Engineer 3- L2 Routing Protocol Testing

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, Execute, and Automate detailed feature test plans in the areas of L2/L3 protocols like STP/RSTP/MSTP, VRRP, MCLAG, LACP, L2PT, LLDP, VPLS, EVPN, OSPF/ISIS/BGP and MACSEC  based on a thorough understanding of feature and requirements.

Utilize strong analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues.

Implement and execute test cases, and develop automation scripts to enhance efficiency.

Regularly report on testing progress and outcomes.

Handle critical and complex customer queries/escalations.

Candidate Profile:

Proficient in Layer 2 and Layer 3 Protocols.

Strong automation skills in Python and Robot Framework.

Collaborative team member with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Technical Expertise:

In-depth knowledge of switches, routers, and IP Networking Fundamentals.

Specialization in one or more of the following areas:

Layer 2: Mastery of Datacenter & Switching technologies, including STP/RSTP/MSTP, VRRP, MCLAG, LACP, L2PT, LLDP, VPLS & EVPN, OSPF/ISIS/BGP, MACSEC.

Layer 3: Expertise in routing and routed protocols - OSPF, ISIS, BGP, MPLS.

Proficiency in automation for all technical areas is required, with skills in  Python and Robot Framework.

Experience and Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (BE/BTECH/ME/MTECH) from a renowned university or college.

5-8 years of experience in networking product validation.

Networking certifications such as JNCIA, JNCIS, JNCIP, or equivalent are advantageous.
