Technical Skills/Experience/Background:

• Internet Protocols: Proficiency in TCP, UDP, IPv4, and IPv6.
• Domain Knowledge: Understanding of Service Provider Technologies, Data Centre Interconnectivity, and Data Centre Overlay.
• Networking Protocols: Hands-on knowledge of BGP, OSPF, ARP, VLANs, VPLS, MPLS L3VPN, L2VPN, CoS/QoS, RSVP, LDP, IP Fabric EVPN, VxLAN, and ISIS.
• Test Engineering Knowledge:
  • Preparation of Test Plans.
  • Test Execution.
  • Definition of Network Topologies.
  • Understanding Complex Customer Networks.
  • Strong Automation Skills.
• Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced customer project environment.
• Test Tool Knowledge: Familiarity with test tools such as Spirent and IXIA.

Desired Skills/Experience/Background:

• Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with Field/Sales Engineers and Customers to analyze Customer Deployment Architectures, Network Topologies, and Test Plans.
  • Extract Customer Use Cases from requirements and test plans.
• Test Coverage Analysis:
  • Work with Development Functional and System Test Teams to analyze test coverage and identify gaps.
• Lab Setup:
  • Build System Test Labs for functionality, performance, and scalability testing.
  • Configure routers and switches at the device level.
• Debugging Skills:
  • Experience in troubleshooting microservices environments.
• Test Documentation:
  • Write System Test Plans.
  • Create Automation Scripts.
  • Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to identify Use Case Coverage gaps.
• Automation:
  • Familiarity with Test Automation Frameworks, tools, and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Robot framework).
• Effective Communication:
  • Clearly communicate test results and gaps.
• Infrastructure Experience:
  • Exposure to test labs for networking infrastructure.
• JUNOS Knowledge:
  • Preferably have previous experience with JUNOS.
• Certifications:
  • Networking Certifications are a plus.
• Communication Skills:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Team Player:
  • Collaborative approach and relationship-building skills.

Key Responsibilities (not limited to):

• Lead test efforts and perform hands-on manual testing and automation.
• Participate in design and information gathering workshops with the Customer to understand the existing network design and technical requirements for new network designs.
• Produce a written summary report of the status of Design projects, equipment and network problems on a regular basis to the Customer.
• Identify, troubleshoot and document issues and work with appropriate Juniper engineering resources to close problems to customer’s satisfaction.
• Hold technical meetings with the Customer to discuss equipment and network problems, and to provide case status updates, including the reasons for any problems encountered and the workarounds and/or solutions that are being offered.
• Communicate effectively with customer, account team and other internal stakeholders on overall testing and project status.
