Software Engineer I - Mobile Development

Role Purpose: At Jumio, you will work for one of the market leaders in the global identity verification space that is helping to make the digital world a safer place for everyone. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will develop cool back-end software that will delight our customers and help expand the state of the art in this exciting domain!

T-Shaped Engineering Expectation:

In addition to your deep expertise in front-end development, you will embody a T-shaped engineering approach by contributing to the broader engineering practices. This includes a strong focus on testing automation, user experience, and collaboration with backend and DevOps teams to ensure seamless integration. You will take ownership of delivering high-quality, maintainable code that not only meets immediate project goals but also supports long-term scalability and performance

Example Responsibilities

• 50% of your time you will work on product improvements as part of the cross functional team
• Be the first technical/engineering layer for support requests bridging the gap between 
• Directly engage with customers to make sure that the mobile product is well integrated
• Investigate issues, provide technical support
• Interface between mobile engineers, Customer Success and our customers.

Experience and Qualifications 

• • Strong understanding in one native mobile technology iOS and/or Android development
  • Keen to learn new technologies (various cross-platform frameworks)
  • Desire to share your knowledge when providing training to Solution Engineers and integration & support team
  • Being responsible to maintain sample code, sample implementations,
  • Solid English
  
  
  • Be able to work with PM/QA/DevOps as equal partners throughout the whole lifecycle of the feature/product
  • Be able to write good quality & secure code, preferably be familiar with static code analysis tools
  • Have excellent analytical, conceptual, and communication skills in spoken and written English.
  • Experience applying Computer Science fundamentals in algorithm design, problem-solving, and complexity analysis.
