As an IT Infrastructure Solution Architect at Julius Baer, you will translate business and technical requirements into resilient, secure, and innovative IT architectures, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards while driving end-to-end delivery across cross-functional teams. With a strong foundation in infrastructure, security, and solution architecture, you will act as a trusted advisor—bridging business needs with technological excellence in a dynamic, regulated environment.

YOUR CHALLENGE

• Turn ideas into architecture: Translate infrastructure requirements from projects or products into clear, actionable architecture and design documents — the blueprint for successful delivery
• Ensure compliance: Make sure every solution aligns with internal architectural standards and guidelines, ensuring consistency and reliability
• Be the trusted advisor: Act as the first point of contact for projects and ARTs on infrastructure and middleware topics
• Coordinate seamlessly: Oversee the end-to-end flow of infrastructure tasks across teams and departments, keeping everything on track
• Collaborate with suppliers: Understand the technical details of supplier-delivered capabilities and integrate them smoothly into the overall architecture
• Work hand-in-hand: Partner closely with IT infrastructure architects and engineering teams to deliver robust solutions
• Bridge the gap: Connect business units, technical specialists, project managers, application owners, and infrastructure teams — translating needs into practical solutions
• Enable innovation: Support the setup of new technology stacks and help shape future-ready infrastructure environments

YOUR PROFILE

• Architecture & Infrastructure Expertise: Solid experience in IT infrastructure across medium to large-scale projects. Familiar with the main infrastructure layers and experienced in one or more areas such as security, performance, or capacity management
• Structured and proactive: You work independently, with a clear, goal-oriented approach and a strong sense of ownership
• Security & Resilience: Operational resilience, IT security, risk management, and quality assurance are part of your professional mindset
• Future-focused: You stay ahead of emerging technologies and innovation trends that impact IT environments
• Business-aware: You understand business analysis and requirements engineering processes and can bridge technical solutions with business needs
• Automation & Integration: You know how automation, infrastructure operations, modernization, and technology integration fit together to create efficient environments. Strong knowledge of application integration architecture, technologies, patterns, and security architecture
• Solution-driven: You have a strong grasp of solution architecture and are comfortable navigating concepts like service design and software development best practices
• Architect at heart: You have a solid foundation in architecture principles, methodologies, and modeling techniques — and you’re hands-on with industry-standard practices like Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD
• Higher education (e.g., University or Fachhochschule) in a relevant field
• 5–10 years of IT architecture experience; financial services experience is an advantage
• Training in IT infrastructure architecture and project management (waterfall and agile)
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
• English business fluent (verbal and written); German is an advantage
