  • Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity considerations, secure handling of inputs/outputs, and adherence to resiliency and security expectations; ability to guide peers on safe and effective usage within team practices.
  • Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle and Software Testing Life Cycle, with the ability to embed quality practices throughout design, build, test, and release phases
    • Solid understanding of agile methodologies and modern delivery practices such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security, including implementing automated quality gates and validation checks within pipelines

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  •  Strong hands-on experience testing Java-based applications (Spring/Spring Boot, RESTful services) including API contract validation, integration testing, and end-to-end test automation
  • Proficiency with Java test frameworks and tooling (e.g., JUnit/TestNG, Mockito, REST-assured, Selenium/Cypress/Playwright as applicable) and building reusable automation libraries
  • Strong database testing experience with one or more RDBMS (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MS SQL Server), including writing complex SQL for data validation, reconciliation, and troubleshooting
  • Experience validating data pipelines and data flows (ETL/ELT), including schema checks, data quality rules, and lineage/transform verification
  • Familiarity with messaging and integration patterns (e.g., Kafka, MQ) and validating event-driven workflows and downstream data persistence
