As a Lead Security Engineer in the Cloud Security Engineering organization, you will play a pivotal role in delivering software solutions that meet functional and user requirements while preventing misuse and malicious behavior. You will carry out critical technology solutions using tamper-proof, audit-defensible methods across multiple technical areas and business functions. You will help drive secure engineering practices and foster a culture of innovation and excellence. Your contributions will directly impact the security and scalability of our cloud environment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Engage and improve the lifecycle of services from inception and design through deployment, operation, and refinement
• Develop and build solutions for cloud environment governance, protection, auditing, monitoring, remediation, and reporting
• Use enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to accelerate threat modeling, vulnerability analysis synthesis, and security documentation, validating outputs and ensuring sensitive data is handled appropriately
• Design, develop, and improve services to scale with the firm’s cloud usage
• Develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software and tooling solutions
• Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables
• Perform system design and code reviews
• Advocate for engineering and operational excellence
• Lead stakeholder interactions and mentor junior engineers

• Apply reuse-first, AI-assisted practices within SDLC/toolchain routines to strengthen security testing and control validation, ensuring traceability/auditability and alignment to resiliency and security expectations

   

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
• Experience developing and architecting cloud-native applications with AWS services, including proficiency with Lambda, SQS, DynamoDB, and EKS
• Hands-on expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions such as Terraform and CloudFormation
• Proficiency in developing enterprise software and multiple programming languages, preferably Python
• CI/CD experience utilizing tools like GitHub and Jenkins, with familiarity in Agile development methodologies
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical design ideas to stakeholders
• Ability to conceptualize, design, validate, and implement creative solutions to complex technical issues
• Skill in analyzing system metrics and data to draw insightful conclusions and make forward-thinking decisions that prevent technical debt
• Capacity to work independently and collaboratively within a team to achieve common goals
• Demonstrated experience using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to support security engineering workflows with strong validation habits and awareness of data sensitivity

• Ability to review and validate AI-assisted code/security recommendations before adoption, escalating uncertainty and ensuring outcomes align to security, resiliency, and auditability expectations

   

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

• Cybersecurity knowledge
• Experience with Azure, GCP, or other public cloud environments

• Cloud certifications such as AWS Developer Associate or AWS Solutions Architect Associate
