Job Description:

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities 

This position can perform two different roles in projects: 

 

Lead Engineer: 

  • Acts as Core Team Member in medium/high complexity projects, representing all engineering disciplines and coordinates the complete engineering scope with other involved engineers. 
  • Provides technical support for project planning, development, implementation, and modification. 
  • Exercises independent judgment on significant details of work and makes selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives. 
  • Performs work which involves complex conventional types of plans, investigations, surveys, structures, or equipment with highly complex features for which there may be no precedents. 
  • Translates scope into request for quotation packages. 
  • Performs applicable GXP requirements (e.g. Change Control). 
  • Checks and approves drawings and calculations for design or construction and verifies that design is in-line with the Dutch, European and Janssen Biologics standards. 
  • Manages progress and quality with external engineering firms, on site contractors and internal stakeholders. 
  • Coordinates modifications with stakeholders and participates in Management of Change to ensure proper implementation. 

 

Project Lead: 

  • Manages medium complex capital investment projects according to the Engineering Process from feasibility till closure.  
  • Develops timelines, oversees activities for the entire project team and takes responsibility for project completion. 
  • Supports the sponsor in defining the business need and business solution. 
  • Defines and manage the final project objectives, scope, budget and timelines  
  • Ensures the documentation of project activities and deliverables. 
  • Ensures project implementation meeting all applicable GXP requirements (e.g. Change Control). 
  • Builds and leads cross functional project teams (internal and external to engineering) to achieve the final project objectives 
  • Communicates with sponsor & stakeholders on project progress both in person and through portfolio management systems. 
  • Manages client’s expectations with respect to safety, quality, reliability, time and budget. 
  • Manages project contracts and purchase orders. 
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational seminars and trade shows, reviewing professional publications and analyzing new trends, establishing personal networks. 

 

 

Minimum Qualification  

 

  • University/Bachelors Degree or Equivalent 
  • 5-7 Years Work Experience 
  • FPX/PMP certified 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers. 
  • Excellent computer proficiency e.g. MS Office, SAP  
  • Excellent analytical skill to identify gaps and root causes of issues and think out of the box to develop a solution. 
  • Must be able to work independently with minimum supervision to meet tight deadlines and maintain a positive attitude

The anticipated base pay range for this position is:

€53,500.00 - €85,445.00

 

 

Benefits:

In addition to base pay, we offer the following benefits*: an annual bonus with set target (% of pay) depending on pay grade / location, where the actual amount is based on the employees’ and companies’ performance of the previous calendar year, or sales commissions.
