You will work closely with cross-functional engineering and operations teams to help develop robust, cost-effective solutions for new and existing chiller products in a collaborative, fast-moving environment.
Role Overview
As Electrical Engineer II - Product Development Chiller, you will support the electrical design and development of chiller products across the full product lifecycle. You will partner with mechanical, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and service teams to translate requirements into practical electrical solutions that support product performance, compliance, and production readiness.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and support electrical design solutions for chiller product development activities.
Prepare and review electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, BOMs, and technical documentation.
Contribute to concept development, prototype builds, testing, validation, and production release.
Work with cross-functional teams to align electrical design decisions with manufacturability, quality, cost, and serviceability goals.
Support engineering changes, design reviews, and issue resolution for new and existing products.
Evaluate design alternatives, components, and materials that improve product reliability and competitiveness.
Support compliance-related work by helping ensure designs align with applicable codes, standards, and internal engineering requirements.
Provide technical input to manufacturing and field teams when electrical issues require investigation or corrective action.
Maintain accurate engineering records and contribute to disciplined product development execution.
How You Will Do It
You will own your deliverables with accountability, safety, and integrity, making design choices that are practical, traceable, and production-ready.
You will stay close to the work by engaging early with mechanical, manufacturing, and service teams so issues are identified and removed before they affect the customer.
You will use structured product development practices such as design reviews, DFMEA, DVP&R, and disciplined change control to keep programs on track.
You will improve every day through clear feedback, root-cause problem solving, and continuous improvement in design and testing activities.
You will win as one team by sharing knowledge, building trust across functions, and valuing diverse technical perspectives.
You will keep electrical documentation current and precise, including revisions, technical notes, and engineering deliverables.
You will balance engineering depth with practical execution so designs can move smoothly from concept to production.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Power Engineering, or a related discipline.
6+ years of experience in electrical product development, preferably in chiller, HVAC, refrigeration, industrial equipment, or a related engineering environment.
Strong understanding of electrical design principles, component selection, wiring practices, and engineering documentation.
Experience preparing or reviewing electrical drawings, BOMs, and technical specifications.
Proficiency with CAD tools such as AutoCAD and Creo.
Experience with product development methods such as DFMEA, DVP&R, and stage-gate processes.
Ability to work effectively across engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and service teams.
Strong communication, problem-solving, and follow-through skills.
Nice to Have
Experience working on chiller or other HVAC product development programs.
Exposure to ASHRAE, ISO, PED, ASME, or API requirements in a product development or compliance setting.
Experience supporting prototype testing, validation, or field issue resolution.
Familiarity with continuous improvement practices in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
Why Join Us
This role gives you the opportunity to contribute to chiller products that support customer performance, reliability, and long-term value. You will work across disciplines, help shape practical engineering solutions, and be part of a team focused on quality, collaboration, and meaningful product improvement.
If you are ready to apply your electrical engineering experience to chiller product development, we invite you to apply.
