This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a UX/UI Designer based in Australia.
As a UX/UI Designer, you will play a key role in creating digital experiences that directly influence customer engagement, conversion, and business growth. This position combines user-centered design, experimentation, and scalable design systems to build seamless experiences across high-impact customer touchpoints. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to transform insights and data into intuitive, production-ready interfaces that deliver measurable results. In this hands-on role, you will have the opportunity to shape design practices, improve customer journeys, and contribute to the evolution of a fast-growing digital brand. Accountabilities
- Design and optimize conversion-focused digital experiences across key customer touchpoints, including product pages, checkout flows, landing pages, calls-to-action, and post-purchase journeys.
- Create A/B test concepts based on clear hypotheses, success metrics, and customer insights, then analyze results and iterate on winning solutions.
- Partner with conversion optimization teams to identify customer friction points using analytics, heatmaps, session recordings, and behavioral insights.
- Build, maintain, and scale a comprehensive design system, including component libraries, design tokens, patterns, and documentation within Figma.
- Ensure design consistency through governance, version control, and quality reviews across all digital experiences.
- Translate stakeholder requirements into polished, production-ready designs while maintaining high standards for usability, accessibility, and visual quality.
- Provide detailed design specifications, interaction notes, and implementation guidance to support efficient collaboration with development teams.
- Participate in sprint planning, design reviews, and project prioritization while accurately estimating work and proactively managing risks.
- Help establish scalable design processes, including critique practices, documentation standards, and team workflows.
- Serve as a design advocate by connecting user needs, business objectives, and performance data to guide decision-making.
- 4–7 years of professional UX/UI design experience, with significant experience in DTC, e-commerce, or subscription-based digital products, including product pages and checkout experiences.
- Proven experience creating and maintaining scalable design systems in Figma, including components, variants, design tokens, and documentation.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating measurable business impact through improvements such as conversion rates, click-through rates, average order value, or other performance metrics.
- Experience managing the full experimentation lifecycle, from developing hypotheses and designing test variations to analyzing results and optimizing experiences.
- Advanced proficiency in Figma and strong understanding of modern UX/UI design principles and workflows.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, communicate proactively, and maintain progress in a fast-moving environment.
- Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to explain and defend design decisions using customer insights and performance data.
- Experience collaborating with engineering teams to deliver high-quality, production-ready digital experiences.
- Familiarity with conversion rate optimization (CRO), Shopify or headless commerce platforms, performance marketing, or direct-response creative is a plus.
