Technical Content Engineer
Team: IT
Location: US
Commitment: Full-time
Workplace Type: remote
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Technical Content Engineer based in the United States.
The Technical Content Engineer will create high-quality technical content for developers building modern integrations, AI applications, and infrastructure.
This hands-on role combines software engineering expertise with technical storytelling, research, and industry analysis.
You will build prototypes and write code to develop a practical understanding of the technologies and concepts you cover.
The role offers significant influence over the technical narrative, positioning, and educational resources of a fast-growing developer-focused organization.
You will explore emerging developments in AI infrastructure and agents while forming clear, informed perspectives on where the technology landscape is heading.
Your work will help developers understand complex technologies while contributing directly to product awareness, adoption, and organic growth.
Success requires technical depth, intellectual curiosity, strong communication, and the independence to identify compelling topics and perspectives.
Accountabilities:
- Write deeply technical, accurate, and engaging content that helps developers understand APIs, integrations, AI agents, infrastructure, and related technologies.
- Research complex technical topics and translate them into clear, practical content for an engineering-focused audience.
- Build prototypes, experiment with technologies, and write code to develop firsthand knowledge and validate the concepts covered in technical materials.
- Stay current with developments across AI infrastructure, agent technologies, developer tools, APIs, and emerging engineering practices.
- Develop original perspectives and compelling technical angles based on independent research, experimentation, and industry observation.
- Collaborate closely with founders and engineering teams to shape the organization's technical vision, narrative, and content strategy.
- Create content that strengthens awareness among developers and contributes to product education, adoption, community engagement, and word of mouth.
- Identify emerging technical topics and opportunities where high-quality educational content can provide meaningful value to developers.
- Balance technical depth with clarity, ensuring content remains accessible without sacrificing accuracy or engineering rigor.
- Work independently across research, experimentation, writing, and content development while exercising strong judgment over topics, formats, and editorial direction.
- Software engineering experience with a strong foundation in computer science and software development principles.
- Experience working with developer tools, APIs, infrastructure, integrations, or closely related technologies.
- Strong ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly, precisely, and in a way that is useful to experienced developers.
- Hands-on coding ability and willingness to build prototypes and experiment with technologies as part of the content creation process.
- Deep technical curiosity and the ability to investigate how systems and technologies work rather than relying solely on surface-level knowledge.
- Strong interest in AI, AI agents, developer infrastructure, and the emerging technologies shaping modern software development.
- Excellent independent research and analytical skills, with the ability to identify interesting angles and develop well-supported points of view.
- Strong written communication skills and the ability to produce engaging, technically rigorous content; professional writing experience is beneficial but not required.
- Strong independent judgment, initiative, and ownership, with the ability to take a topic from initial research through experimentation and final content.
- Comfortable collaborating with technical leaders and engineers while also working autonomously in a remote environment.
- Salary: $100,000–$170,000 annually, with a compensation philosophy focused on offering highly competitive salaries for an early-stage startup.
- Equity: Equity participation is included as part of the compensation package.
- Work arrangement: Fully remote position.
- Geographic flexibility: The broader role is open across North America, LATAM, and Europe; candidates based in the United States are eligible.
- Employment flexibility: The opportunity may be available on either a full-time or freelance basis.
- Technical exposure: Opportunity to work closely with emerging AI, agent, API, integration, and developer infrastructure technologies.
- Influence: Significant opportunity to shape technical content strategy, industry perspectives, and developer education within a growing technology organization.
- Remote collaboration: Work with a highly technical, distributed team in an environment focused on developer tools and modern software infrastructure.
