Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer to strengthen software quality through robust automated testing and comprehensive quality assurance practices. In this role, you will design, develop, and maintain end-to-end testing solutions using Playwright and TypeScript, ensuring applications meet high standards of reliability and performance. You will collaborate closely with developers, QA leads, and Product Owners to define testing strategies and establish clear acceptance criteria. By combining automation with exploratory and manual testing, you will uncover complex edge cases and improve the overall user experience. You will also contribute to evolving the testing framework, optimizing CI/CD integration, and promoting best practices across the engineering team. This is an opportunity to work on long-term projects in a collaborative, quality-driven environment that values continuous learning, innovation, and professional growth.

Accountabilities

    • Design, develop, and maintain automated end-to-end tests using Playwright and TypeScript to ensure application functionality, reliability, and quality.

    • Create and maintain readable, reusable, and maintainable Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) test scenarios.

    • Collaborate with developers, QA leads, and Product Owners to define testing strategies, acceptance criteria, and validation processes.

    • Conduct manual testing and lead exploratory testing sessions to identify complex edge cases, usability issues, and scenarios not covered by automated tests.

    • Participate in code reviews, promote automation best practices, and ensure test code remains maintainable and scalable.

    • Analyze test execution results, document and track defects, investigate failures, and verify fixes.

    • Improve the existing test automation framework, optimize test execution, and strengthen integration with CI/CD pipelines.

    • Contribute to continuous quality improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance test coverage, efficiency, and reliability.

    • Requirements

      • At least 3 years of professional experience in QA automation.

      • A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with Playwright, including the Page Object Model (POM), environment management, and parallel test execution.

      • Advanced proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript, with the ability to develop reliable and maintainable automation solutions.

      • Practical experience with BDD frameworks such as Playwright-BDD, Cucumber, or equivalent tools.

      • Solid understanding of QA automation best practices, software testing methodologies, and CI/CD pipelines.

      • Experience working with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions or Jenkins.

      • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a commitment to software quality.

      • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

      • Advanced English proficiency, equivalent to B2 or higher.

      • Ability to combine automated testing with manual validation and exploratory testing when necessary.

      • Benefits

        • Remote work: A remote opportunity for professionals based in Brazil, with a collaborative working environment.

        • Competitive professional development: Access to training, certifications, and resources to support continuous learning and career advancement.

        • English language development: English scholarships through external institutions and English classes with company instructors.

        • Modern technology: Access to up-to-date tools and resources to support high-quality software development and testing.

        • Long-term projects: Opportunities to collaborate with international clients and contribute to meaningful software initiatives.

        • Career growth: An environment that encourages professional stability, continuous improvement, and long-term career development.

        • Team activities: Recreational initiatives and activities that encourage collaboration and team engagement.
