This role focuses on building, maintaining, and enhancing high-quality software solutions that directly impact business processes and user experiences. The Senior Software Engineer will work cross-functionally with product managers, designers, and business stakeholders to design and implement scalable, efficient, and secure applications. The role requires expertise across the full software stack, including front-end frameworks, back-end systems, and relational databases, with a focus on continuous integration, testing, and performance optimization. You will leverage AI and ML technologies to deliver innovative solutions while mentoring peers and shaping technical strategy. This position offers the autonomy to influence key technical decisions and contribute to large, impactful projects in a collaborative, remote-friendly environment.
Accountabilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain software solutions that optimize business processes and user experiences.
- Build and integrate home-grown and third-party tools to improve contracting, eligibility, and billing processes.
- Lead technical design decisions, infrastructure planning, and architecture for large-scale projects.
- Leverage AI and ML tools to develop innovative features and solutions.
- Mentor team members, share knowledge, and promote best practices across development teams.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure high-quality and timely delivery.
- Research, adopt, and advocate for new technologies and development methodologies.
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, writing readable, tested, and efficient code.
- Experience with modern front-end frameworks such as React or Vue.
- Experience with back-end web frameworks like Rails or Python-based frameworks.
- Strong proficiency with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
- Familiarity with AI/ML tools, LLMs, and generative AI best practices for development.
- Expertise with APIs supporting mobile and web applications.
- Solid debugging, optimization, and performance tuning skills.
- Familiarity with SDLC processes, CI/CD pipelines, and collaborative development practices.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, with an eagerness to mentor others and learn new tools and technologies.
