Senior Software Engineer - FullStack (Backend Heavy)

Accountabilities:

The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining secure, scalable, and highly available software solutions while collaborating across engineering and product teams. Key responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, and maintain secure, fault-tolerant, and globally scalable applications deployed on cloud infrastructure.
• Build and enhance microservices-based platforms while ensuring reliability, performance, and maintainability.
• Develop high-quality code supported by comprehensive unit and integration testing practices.
• Investigate and resolve production issues while participating in operational support and on-call responsibilities.
• Create technical documentation, participate in code reviews, and mentor fellow engineers.
• Design and optimize data models using both relational and NoSQL databases.
• Build services with strong observability practices, including logging, monitoring, metrics, and tracing.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineering teams to deliver effective technical solutions.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes, architecture, and engineering standards.
• Apply security best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate is a skilled software engineer with strong backend development expertise and experience building scalable cloud-based applications. Required qualifications and skills include:

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering or a related development role.
• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Go, Python, and TypeScript.
• Experience designing and developing scalable backend services and microservices.
• Hands-on experience with cloud technologies, particularly AWS services such as EC2, Fargate, Lambda, S3, and CloudWatch.
• Strong experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL and NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB or MongoDB.
• Experience with CI/CD workflows, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, and modern DevOps practices.
• Strong understanding of Git-based development workflows and version control systems.
• Experience working in agile engineering environments.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with cross-functional teams.

Additional experience that would be valuable:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Familiarity with frontend technologies and frameworks such as React or Angular.
• Experience building secure and highly available systems at scale.
