Accountabilities

The Senior Software Engineer (Backend) – GTM Data Platform will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining backend systems that support scalable data platforms, automation processes, and enterprise integrations.

• Design, build, and maintain high-performance backend microservices and automation workflows using Java or Python.
• Develop and integrate backend solutions with Salesforce APIs, including custom integrations, lead assignment workflows, and CRM automation processes.
• Build and support AI-driven sales development workflows, including automated routing systems, webhook-based architectures, and third-party integrations.
• Contribute directly to the development and maintenance of the GTM Data Platform codebase, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Develop RESTful APIs and backend services to support business-critical applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams through Agile delivery processes, sprint planning, and technical discussions.
• Track development tasks, priorities, and deliverables using project management tools such as JIRA.
• Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to engineering best practices.
• Work effectively within a distributed, remote-first environment while maintaining strong communication with global teams.

Requirements

The ideal candidate is an experienced backend software engineer with strong knowledge of API development, CRM integrations, automation systems, and modern software engineering practices.

• 5+ years of professional experience in backend software engineering, API integrations, and enterprise application development.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java or Python.
• Proven experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and webhook-driven architectures.
• Experience integrating with Salesforce platforms and working with Salesforce APIs.
• Solid understanding of CRM automation systems, lead routing mechanisms, and data-driven workflows.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and managing development activities through tools such as JIRA.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within distributed and international engineering teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to design scalable technical solutions.
• Fluent English communication skills for daily collaboration, documentation, and technical discussions.
• Nice-to-have experience with Salesforce Apex development, Calendly API integrations, or AI-assisted sales development solutions.
