Accountabilities:

The Senior Quality Assurance Engineering Lead will own quality initiatives for assigned product areas, ensuring effective testing strategies, reliable releases, and continuous improvement of QA practices. Key responsibilities include:

• Defining and executing QA strategies, test plans, test coverage, and release-readiness assessments for product areas.
• Partnering with product managers, developers, and technical leads to analyze requirements, identify risks, and establish appropriate testing approaches.
• Creating risk-based test strategies that balance customer impact, technical complexity, timelines, and delivery priorities.
• Leading manual, API, integration, regression, exploratory, and automated testing activities across web applications and services.
• Supporting the design, development, maintenance, and improvement of test automation frameworks and regression suites.
• Monitoring CI/CD test automation results, investigating failures, and collaborating with engineering teams to resolve issues.
• Mentoring QA engineers through technical guidance, test reviews, debugging support, and knowledge sharing.
• Tracking QA progress, risks, dependencies, and delivery constraints while communicating updates clearly to stakeholders.
• Improving QA processes, tools, metrics, and workflows to increase team efficiency and product quality.
• Exploring AI-assisted testing approaches for activities such as test generation, requirement analysis, debugging, and automation enhancement.
• Supporting cross-functional quality initiatives and contributing to defect analysis, root-cause identification, and preventive actions.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have strong software quality assurance experience, technical expertise in automation, and the ability to lead quality initiatives across engineering teams. Required qualifications and skills include:

• Strong experience in software QA, including functional, integration, regression, exploratory, and release testing.
• Proven experience leading QA activities for products, projects, or engineering teams.
• Solid understanding of test strategy, risk-based testing, impact analysis, defect management, and release validation.
• Practical experience with web and API automation tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar technologies.
• Knowledge of automation frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, test execution processes, and troubleshooting automated test failures.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with product, engineering, and technical stakeholders to resolve quality and delivery challenges.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to break down complex features into clear testing requirements and estimates.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly present risks, progress updates, and recommendations.
• Experience mentoring QA engineers and supporting team development.
• Interest in emerging QA technologies, automation practices, and AI-assisted software testing workflows.
• Ability to adapt quickly, take ownership, and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with SaaS platforms, reporting/data products, or education technology is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
