As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and maintaining scalable, resilient, and high-performance cloud infrastructure. You will work closely with engineering teams to automate processes, optimize operations, and ensure reliability across AWS and GCP environments. This position requires a proactive, hands-on engineer with deep expertise in cloud architecture, SRE principles, and infrastructure automation. You will influence key infrastructure decisions, improve developer workflows, and implement intelligent, AI-augmented solutions to streamline system management. Accountabilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable, resilient, and high-performance infrastructure solutions aligned with business requirements.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configurations using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
- Apply SRE practices to enhance system reliability, reduce downtime, and manage incident response processes.
- Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines, developer self-service tools, and deployment processes to improve operational efficiency.
- Develop and maintain monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify and resolve infrastructure issues.
- Collaborate across engineering teams to influence architecture decisions and ensure smooth delivery of software services.
- Lead post-incident reviews and drive continuous improvement in reliability, scalability, and operational practices.
- 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering, preferably with AWS and GCP.
- Proven experience with AWS services such as EKS, S3, RDS, API Gateway, Load Balancers, VPC, Lambda, DocumentDB, and DynamoDB.
- Strong proficiency with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and automation.
- Experience with containerized applications, Kubernetes, microservices, and CI/CD workflows (GitHub Actions or similar).
- Familiarity with monitoring, observability tools, and networking concepts including DNS, load balancing, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Solid software engineering skills in languages like Java, Python, or TypeScript to collaborate effectively with product teams.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently and across teams.
- Experience implementing SRE principles and improving developer workflows through automation.
