Accountabilities:

The Senior Data Scientist will lead the development and execution of data science initiatives that generate business value and support improved healthcare delivery. This role requires strong technical expertise, strategic thinking, and the ability to translate complex problems into scalable solutions.

• Lead end-to-end data science projects from initial concept and experimentation through implementation and measurable enterprise impact.
• Develop and apply statistical, machine learning, and analytical approaches to solve complex business and healthcare challenges.
• Evaluate solution options, balancing customized approaches and scalable frameworks to maximize effectiveness and efficiency.
• Build reliable, well-tested, and maintainable data products that reduce complexity and support long-term growth.
• Partner with stakeholders across business, product, engineering, and operational teams to align data science initiatives with strategic priorities.
• Identify potential risks, dependencies, and opportunities early to ensure successful project delivery.
• Act as a trusted advisor by providing data-driven recommendations and helping teams make informed decisions.
• Measure product and business performance through advanced analytics and data-driven assessments.
• Identify opportunities for strategic improvements and implement solutions that enhance team and organizational outcomes.
• Mentor other team members through collaboration, technical guidance, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an experienced data science professional with a strong quantitative background, advanced analytical skills, and a proven ability to deliver impactful solutions in a business environment.

• Advanced degree in a quantitative field, such as a Master’s degree with 3–4 years of relevant experience or a Ph.D. with 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong foundation in probability, statistics, machine learning, and applied data science methodologies.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and relevant machine learning or statistical libraries.
• Demonstrated experience using data science techniques to drive measurable business outcomes.
• Experience leading complex projects from ideation through implementation and impact measurement.
• Ability to translate business challenges into analytical solutions and communicate insights clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate trade-offs and make strategic recommendations.
• Experience collaborating across teams and influencing decisions through data-driven insights.
• Ability to improve team capabilities through mentorship, technical leadership, and best practices.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to connect technical work to broader business objectives.
