SAP Business Suite Integration Developer – SAP PI/PO & APIs

Accountabilities:

• Design, develop, maintain, and support integrations between SAP Business Suite systems and external or non-SAP applications.
• Develop and manage interfaces using SAP PI/PO, ensuring reliable and scalable integration flows.
• Work with REST, SOAP, OData, XML, JSON, IDoc, RFC, and BAPI technologies to enable effective system communication.
• Analyze business and integration requirements and translate them into appropriate technical integration architectures and solutions.
• Develop mappings, interface configurations, message transformations, routing logic, and other integration components.
• Monitor interfaces and ensure consistent, secure, and reliable data exchange between SAP and third-party systems.
• Troubleshoot interface failures, performance issues, data inconsistencies, and production integration incidents.
• Collaborate with SAP functional teams, business users, and external application teams throughout the integration lifecycle.
• Participate in integration testing, user acceptance testing, deployment activities, and ongoing production support.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation covering interfaces, configurations, integration flows, and architecture.
• Apply integration best practices, security standards, authentication controls, and established change-management processes.
• Contribute to continuous improvements in integration performance, reliability, maintainability, and operational support.

Requirements:

• 4–8 years of professional experience in SAP Integration and SAP PI/PO development.
• Strong hands-on experience integrating SAP Business Suite systems with internal and external applications.
• Solid expertise in SAP PI/PO and enterprise interface development.
• Strong understanding of API and integration architecture, including REST and SOAP web services.
• Good knowledge of SAP integration technologies and interfaces such as IDoc, RFC, BAPI, and OData.
• Practical experience working with XML, JSON, data transformation, mapping, routing, and message processing.
• Good understanding of common integration patterns, exception handling, monitoring, and error resolution.
• Experience working across both SAP and non-SAP application environments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical teams, functional stakeholders, business users, and external partners.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage integration activities within structured delivery and change-management processes.
• Experience with SAP Integration Suite or Cloud Integration (CPI) is an advantage.
• SAP S/4HANA integration experience is desirable.
• Experience with API Management and cloud-based integrations is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of Java, Groovy, or another programming language is beneficial.
• Understanding of authentication mechanisms such as OAuth, certificates, and basic authentication is advantageous.
