QA and Test Automation Specialist

Accountabilities

• Plan and execute comprehensive functional, integration, regression, and automated end-to-end testing across the digital platform.
• Develop and maintain test cases, test data, defect reports, and traceability to acceptance criteria.
• Coordinate bilingual English/French test coverage and verify parity across both language experiences.
• Conduct cross-browser, mobile, permissions, account, registration, and integration testing to identify functional and usability issues.
• Perform API testing and relevant performance checks, coordinating with accessibility and security specialists where required.
• Support client-led user acceptance testing by preparing test coverage, tracking defects, validating fixes, and supporting release readiness.
• Maintain clear testing documentation and collaborate closely with technical and client teams throughout delivery and handover.

Requirements

• 5–10 years of relevant QA, software testing, or test automation experience, with experience delivering projects in Canada.
• Strong hands-on experience with functional, integration, regression, and automated end-to-end testing.
• Proven ability to create structured test cases, manage test data, report defects, and maintain traceability against acceptance criteria.
• Experience with cross-browser, mobile, permissions, bilingual parity, API, and performance testing.
• Strong written and spoken English is required; fluency in written and spoken French is a significant asset.
• Ability to work collaboratively with technical, product, UX/design, content, accessibility, security, and client teams.
• Strong documentation, organization, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work remotely while remaining available during standard Eastern Time business hours, as the client is based on Canada's East Coast.
• Nonprofit or education-sector experience is an asset.
• Contractors based in Canada or the USA are preferred, with the role specifically requiring a Canada-based professional.
