Accountabilities:

• Develop and maintain Java-based microservices following software architecture best practices, including scalable and maintainable design principles.
• Implement and integrate messaging solutions based on asynchronous and event-driven architectures.
• Design, develop, and consume REST APIs and domain events to support efficient system communication.
• Participate in technical solution design and contribute to architectural decisions and improvements.
• Implement observability practices, including logging, metrics, and tracing, to ensure system reliability.
• Identify and resolve performance, concurrency, and scalability challenges across backend services.
• Collaborate closely with product, QA, infrastructure, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced developers.
• Ensure compliance with security standards, service governance practices, and version control guidelines.

Requirements:

• Strong experience with Java backend development, including Spring Boot and Java versions 8, 11, 12, 17, and 21.
• Solid knowledge of microservices architecture, especially Hexagonal Architecture principles.
• Experience designing and consuming APIs, API Gateways, and system integrations.
• Knowledge of messaging platforms such as Kafka and RabbitMQ.
• Experience working with relational and NoSQL databases, including MongoDB, MySQL, Oracle, and PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with cloud environments, especially AWS services such as EKS, ECS, EC2, Amazon RDS, and DynamoDB.
• Understanding of design patterns, system design principles, and scalable architecture approaches.
• Experience with security concepts such as encryption (AES-256), hashing, JWT authentication, and Azure AD authentication.
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, container orchestration, pod scalability, and infrastructure configuration.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, GitLab, YAML files, Kustomize, and Git best practices.
• Familiarity with application monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog, New Relic, or Dynatrace.
• Understanding of synchronous and asynchronous communication, request queuing, and distributed systems.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, and Kanbanize.
• Experience using AI-powered development tools and practices to improve productivity and code quality is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills, proactive mindset, problem-solving orientation, mentoring ability, and clear written and verbal communication.
