NetSuite Engineer

Team: IT

Location: Brazil

Commitment: Full-time

Workplace Type: remote

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a NetSuite Engineer based in Brazil.

Join a dynamic, remote-first technology environment where you will design and deliver scalable ERP solutions that streamline business operations and improve efficiency. As a NetSuite Engineer, you will take ownership of developing, customizing, and maintaining NetSuite applications to support critical business processes across finance, sales, inventory, procurement, and supply chain operations. You will build robust integrations between NetSuite and external platforms, ensuring reliable data exchange and seamless workflows across business systems. Working closely with finance, operations, supply chain, and sales stakeholders, you will translate business requirements into effective technical solutions. You will also contribute to system performance, data integrity, and continuous improvement through automation, testing, and structured deployment practices. This fully remote, full-time contract opportunity is ideal for an experienced engineer who values technical ownership, collaboration, and ongoing professional growth.

Accountabilities

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain NetSuite customizations using SuiteScript 2.x, including User Event, Client, Scheduled, Map/Reduce, Suitelet, and RESTlet scripts.
  • Build and maintain integrations between NetSuite and e-commerce platforms, EDI providers, third-party logistics (3PL) providers, warehouse management systems, and other external applications using SuiteTalk REST/SOAP APIs, RESTlets, and integration middleware.
  • Automate business processes through SuiteFlow workflows and custom scripts covering order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, inventory management, and financial close.
  • Collaborate with finance, operations, supply chain, and sales teams to gather business requirements, evaluate existing workflows, and translate operational needs into technical specifications and implementation plans.
  • Configure and customize NetSuite components, including custom records, fields, forms, saved searches, reports, and advanced PDF/HTML templates.
  • Develop and maintain analytical queries and reporting solutions using SuiteAnalytics and SuiteQL to support operational visibility and informed decision-making.
  • Manage the development lifecycle using SuiteCloud Development Framework (SDF), version control, sandbox environments, and structured testing and deployment procedures.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve script failures, workflow errors, integration issues, data inconsistencies, and performance bottlenecks while maintaining system reliability.
  • Plan and execute data migrations and CSV imports, ensuring data is cleaned, validated, and accurately transferred between systems.
  • Review semiannual NetSuite releases, assess their impact on existing customizations and integrations, and update implementations to maintain compatibility.
  • Manage roles, permissions, and access configurations in line with business requirements and appropriate security practices.
  • Produce clear technical documentation covering scripts, integrations, system configurations, and implementation decisions to support future maintenance and knowledge sharing.
  • Refactor legacy SuiteScript 1.0 implementations when necessary and continuously improve existing code for efficiency, maintainability, and compliance with NetSuite governance limits.
  • Requirements

  • At least three years of hands-on experience developing and maintaining NetSuite customizations using SuiteScript 2.x, including User Event, Client, Scheduled, Map/Reduce, Suitelet, and RESTlet scripts.
  • Strong understanding of SuiteScript governance limits, efficient coding practices, debugging techniques, code documentation, and legacy script refactoring.
  • Proven experience designing, implementing, and supporting NetSuite integrations with external systems such as Salesforce, Shopify, payroll platforms, banking systems, and 3PL/WMS solutions.
  • Practical knowledge of SuiteTalk SOAP and REST web services, RESTlets, and integration middleware such as Celigo, Boomi, or Workato, including error handling, failed synchronization troubleshooting, and cross-platform data consistency.
  • Working knowledge of core ERP business processes, including order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, inventory management, and record-to-report, with an understanding of revenue recognition, intercompany transactions, and multi-subsidiary environments using NetSuite OneWorld.
  • Hands-on experience configuring custom records, fields, forms, SuiteFlow workflows, saved searches, reports, SuiteAnalytics, SuiteQL, and advanced PDF/HTML templates.
  • Familiarity with role and permission management and the SuiteCloud Development Framework (SDF).
  • Experience planning and executing CSV imports, data migrations, data cleaning, validation, sandbox testing, and production deployments.
  • Ability to investigate technical issues efficiently, validate changes thoroughly, and prepare systems for NetSuite's semiannual product releases.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to writing reliable, maintainable technical solutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with international stakeholders, including finance and operations teams.
  • Strong organizational skills, proactive problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work independently in a fully remote environment while coordinating with cross-functional teams.
  • Preferred qualifications:

  • NetSuite certifications such as SuiteFoundation, SuiteCloud Developer II, or ERP Consultant.
  • Experience in SaaS, wholesale and distribution, manufacturing, or e-commerce environments.
  • Familiarity with NetSuite modules such as Advanced Revenue Management (ARM), WMS, Advanced Inventory, or SuiteBilling.
  • Experience with SuiteCommerce or SuiteCommerce Advanced.
  • Knowledge of other ERP or CRM platforms, including Salesforce, HubSpot, or Microsoft Dynamics, particularly for cross-system integrations.
  • Exposure to programming and data technologies such as Node.js, Python, or SQL outside the NetSuite ecosystem.
  • Experience working directly with US-based finance and operations stakeholders.
  • Previous experience in consulting, ERP implementations, or working with a technology implementation partner.
  • Benefits

  • Competitive monthly compensation: USD $3,500–$4,500, depending on experience, seniority, and technical expertise.
  • Fully remote work: Work from Brazil while supporting an international client.
  • Full-time contractual engagement: A full-time contract administered through a payroll platform.
  • Technical ownership: Take responsibility for NetSuite development, integrations, automation, and continuous system improvement.
  • Exposure to business-critical systems: Work across finance, procurement, inventory, e-commerce, and enterprise integrations.
  • International collaboration: Partner with business and technical stakeholders to deliver practical solutions in a global working environment.
  • Professional development: Expand your expertise in NetSuite architecture, SuiteScript, integration technologies, ERP automation, and enterprise systems.
  • Problem-solving and innovation: Contribute to scalable solutions that improve data reliability, operational efficiency, and business process automation.
