Accountabilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services, cloud-native applications, and infrastructure tooling using Go.
• Build and optimize production-grade REST and gRPC APIs with a focus on scalability, performance, and reliability.
• Develop solutions for distributed systems while ensuring efficient concurrency, networking, and resource utilization.
• Collaborate closely with product, engineering, operations, and business teams to translate technical and business requirements into scalable software solutions.
• Participate in architecture discussions, design reviews, and code reviews to maintain high engineering standards across the development lifecycle.
• Improve deployment pipelines, containerized environments, and Kubernetes-based applications to support efficient software delivery.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues, optimize application performance, and contribute to continuous platform improvements.
• Mentor junior engineers, promote engineering best practices, and contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience with significant hands-on expertise in Go (Golang).
• Strong understanding of Go concurrency concepts, including goroutines, channels, and contexts.
• Proven experience building and maintaining production REST and/or gRPC APIs.
• Hands-on experience developing applications within Kubernetes environments, including Kubernetes-native tooling.
• Solid knowledge of distributed systems, networking fundamentals, and scalable backend architecture.
• Experience working with relational databases, key-value data stores, CI/CD pipelines, and containerized deployments.
• Excellent debugging, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams.
• Experience contributing to open-source Go projects, Kubernetes operators/controllers, security-focused applications, service mesh, eBPF, WebAssembly, TinyGo, or embedded systems is considered a plus.
