Accountabilities:

• Lead the operational, financial, and quality performance of a global RWE and Phase IV project management portfolio, ensuring alignment with long-term business objectives.
• Own P&L performance and financial objectives for the portfolio, including profitable growth, market expansion, budget management, forecasting, and financial stewardship.
• Oversee project quality, performance, and delivery across the portfolio, establishing consistent operational rigor and effective performance management.
• Develop and optimize resourcing models and budgets for RWE and Phase IV programs, partnering with Proposals, Commercial, and Finance leadership on pricing, bids, delivery strategies, and margin optimization.
• Support business development activities, including bid defenses, portfolio planning, strategic accounts, competitive positioning, and initiatives designed to increase growth and win rates.
• Build and develop a high-performing project management leadership team through talent development, succession planning, organizational effectiveness, and leadership readiness.
• Foster strong financial and commercial accountability across project management teams, encouraging effective budget management, forecasting, and delivery excellence.
• Embed risk management practices and implement effective project tools, templates, reporting frameworks, and performance measurement processes.
• Promote a strong client-focused culture centered on satisfaction, repeat business, portfolio expansion, and consistent delivery quality.
• Identify and lead departmental and enterprise-wide initiatives while partnering with senior cross-functional leaders to improve end-to-end business performance.
• Drive strategic planning and ensure project management capabilities, resources, and organizational structures evolve with business needs.

Requirements

• University or college degree in Life Sciences or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• At least 12 years of relevant clinical research experience within a pharmaceutical company, CRO, or comparable environment, including at least 8 years with full project management responsibility.
• At least 6 years of supervisory or people leadership experience; equivalent combinations of relevant experience may be considered.
• Strong financial acumen with demonstrated success managing financial stewardship at a P&L or portfolio level.
• Experience with RWE and Phase IV delivery models, resource planning, and budget development.
• Extensive knowledge of the clinical development lifecycle and ICH GCP, with particular expertise in RWE and Phase IV studies.
• Proven ability to lead teams, develop talent, support succession planning, and build organizational capabilities.
• Strong strategic planning, organizational, and time management skills.
• Exceptional presentation and communication skills, including the ability to engage executive-level stakeholders.
• Sound judgment and decision-making skills when operating in high-stakes or ambiguous situations.
• Strong commercial awareness and the ability to partner effectively with business development and operational leaders.
• Fluent English, both written and verbal.
• PMP certification or clinical research certification is preferred.
• Willingness and ability to travel approximately 20–30% domestically and internationally to support clients, meetings, site visits, business needs, and training.
