This role offers the opportunity to lead a highly skilled, remote-first engineering team focused on building scalable, high-performance data streaming systems. The Engineering Manager will drive technical excellence, mentor engineers, and oversee the execution of projects that process massive volumes of real-time IT and security data. The position combines hands-on technical involvement with strategic leadership, ensuring that software is robust, reliable, and aligned with business objectives. Accountabilities:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing, distributed team of engineers focused on data streaming applications.
- Ensure technical excellence through code reviews, architecture guidance, and implementation standards.
- Drive projects from concept to delivery, including design, development, testing, and deployment.
- Foster a customer-centric approach, ensuring software meets user needs and maintains high reliability.
- Collaborate across teams to align engineering efforts with product strategy and company goals.
- Promote best practices in software development, including documentation, testing, and continuous improvement.
- Recruit, retain, and develop top technical talent while maintaining an inclusive and diverse team culture.
- 10+ years of industry experience with at least 2+ years in a technical leadership or engineering manager role.
- Proven experience managing distributed engineering teams and delivering large-scale software systems.
- Strong technical background in designing and building scalable, high-volume data streaming systems.
- Hands-on experience in SaaS development environments and familiarity with Agile methodologies.
- Demonstrated ability to hire, mentor, and grow high-performing engineers.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Competitive salary range USD $200,000–$300,000, dependent on location and experience.
